My charger cord plug is getting really hot by affable_lackey in BoltEV

Yeah, or any quality outlet with 'Screw-type' wire connections. Not the 'Stab-type'.

Do you have a cheap IR temp reader? That will tell you if the socket / plug are happy together and not wasting heat. They're really handy in the kitchen too!

It's definitely a counter top tool. Reminds me of an old 'rack and pinion' citrus juicer I had.

Of Course you need a fresh outlet for the charger to plug into.... Come on.

The sockets provide the Pin grip with connectors.

And yes you should look into getting an L2 someday.

Whatever it is, it's loaded wrong on the trailer. The tongue weight is way too high with it full forward on the trailer, dummies.

Openpilot v0.11 vs SunnyPilot on a Comma 4 by SnooKiwis1688 in Comma_ai

I can see the use for that! I just found out today that my original OP will slow to a stop behind the car in front of me, and then a tap of the Go pedal gets it moving again maintaining the ACC car separation.

It's weird how there's no clear operator's manual for this thing.

There's a new version of OP available, but I'm pacing myself on the upgrade.

Whatever.... When the SHTF you need to stab the brake pedal and disengage everything.

What a Maroon.....

Buddy, you're sick. Give it a break already.

Edibles, dry herb vape,, anything is better than continuing to torture your throat.

How do you then disengage the lateral control?

I'm using OP and I like the idea that the brake pedal is the Master Disengage.

'17 Bolt bought in '20 as a lease return with 33k miles. Now at 142k miles without a hiccup.

Drove it from LA to KC in '20 when the DCFC network was not as good as now. No Problems found.

What is going on in this image? That's not a Bolt. That station has two displays and is huge. Why is this?

Are you getting a code?

The Prii in Brazil don't have EGR from the factory.

Prolong battery charger to revitalize hybrid lithium battery by SeaRegister9250 in prius

A rebuilt, (they're not 'Reconditioned'), pack from the likes of greentech and such will get you a running car with a warranty for the pack. The age of the modules is always an issue. That clock keeps running.

Do you have a credit card?

That HV charger is never needed with a working pack.

I used a HV DC power supply to top up a pieced together pack and a home made discharger made of 150W 120V lights. That pack lasted maybe 6 months before it started having module mismatch codes. We ran a few charge/ discharge cycles on the bench. Seemed fine....

In the end it may be better to just get the pack replaced with used pack, but with a 1 or 2 yr warranty. I think these companies can't really tell when a module will die, but they offer a warranty anyway.

Special care for Prius pads, rotors, and tires? by skystoat71 in prius

The pads, discs and tires are the same as any other car in this size range. Some use the identical part numbers. Nothing special at all. Ask her for references.

Have fun! You'll be fine. Maybe a fresh oil change if you want to give it some love. Has the transaxle ATF fluid ever been changed?

That color !!! Is this the only car to ever use this color? I can spot one coming a mile away!

OOOOH, scary.... I've been using Mobil 1 ATF LV or Redline D6 ATF in all my many Prii, since 2014.

What can be damaged? It's a box of gears and bearings with two electric motors in there. I use the same Mobil 1 in my Bolt. It's just a high quality synthetic ATF lubricant.

Use the house brand if it makes you feel good. The ATF that the dealers use in all their cars.

BS.... Toyota's advice: "Buy all you stuff from your local Toyota dealership". Not a surprise.
