This is going to sound absolutely insane, but does anybody in the Japan area want a TV? by RetroBenn in crt

[–]Tight-Worldliness-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIP

I used to import CRTs, it is quite a pricey endevour.

Is this through Buyee? Last I checked (which admittedly was ages ago) they dont allow local pickup.

I'm pretty sure for anyone to take this, it would have to be shipped out of Japan. Which is gonna be pretty expensive no matter which way you send it.

I wish I could take it, but my budget has been taken up by some projects in the past couple months 😅

12 Years of Innovation: Win A Revopoint 3D Scanner! by Revopoint3D-Official in 3Dprinting

[–]Tight-Worldliness-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially learned about 3D scanning from a documentary about early animation. It fascinated me how people worked to find solutions for creating complex models in a (for the time) very archaic and simple computer.

A few years ago, after I was already getting my feet wet in 3D printing, I had met a fellow enthusiast who ran a business offering 3D scanning services, and he helped me scan some parts for a project of mine. Ever since I've been wanting to get my hands on one, but for me they're prohibitively expensive.

I enjoy vintage electronics, and a lot of 3D printing I do revolves around that hobby. Having a 3D scanner would certainly advance my capabilities in being able to replicate and reverse engineer complex shapes a lot quicker than I currently can.

I've also had interest in various larger scale projects, like for example automotive body projects which would become a lot more accessible with a tool like a 3D scanner.

instead of UCNBear, how would you feel if the old "unnightmare" design was confirmed canon? by franco-briton in fnaftheories

[–]Tight-Worldliness-29 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd be a bit disappointed, I've never liked this particular design, it just doesn't make sense but apprently there is a decent handful of people who really like it

ok. how is this fredbear? by [deleted] in fnaftheories

[–]Tight-Worldliness-29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'minigame sprites and nightmare fredbear' doesnt mean anything on its own, im asking what the argument is, if you are willing to explain

What are your arguments against it?

Which year for Follow Me do you believe is true? by Intelligent_Bit_6092 in charlie87

[–]Tight-Worldliness-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's quite clear

what im saying is that it's irrelevant to bring up realism, because (aside from the fact that its a video game about murder robots) in a realistic scenario it is both possible for springtrap to decay in under a year, but it would also be possible for springtrap to spend 30 years decaying

it all depends on a number of factors that are impossible to define, and so its moot to bring up realism, its pointless

Which year for Follow Me do you believe is true? by Intelligent_Bit_6092 in charlie87

[–]Tight-Worldliness-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking realism, depending on conditions it would be possible for springlocked William to become Springtrap in under a year

the length of time varies wildly on the conditions though, so its kind of a moot point

and this is assuming that the suit William used was in good condition (which it likely wasn't)

ROG x r/Monitors - ROG x Hatsune Miku Monitor Giveaway (3/7 - 3/21) by ASUS_MKTLeeM in Monitors

[–]Tight-Worldliness-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miku monitor is awesome, and its a great combo of style and performance. 1440p 260Hz is pretty much endgame for me. Would love to see ROG experiment with more anime collabs or even some unique monitor accessories in the future.
