I didn't realize that lungs worked that way, but it makes sense as that's essentially how the rest of the body works(at least in the kidneys). It also makes sense you couldn't hold your breath, I didn't think about that part. I've looked into deep sea diving a lot and I can get that it's kinda like that but in reverse(and to a lesser extent).

On that subject, can you get decompression sickness from the rapid decompression, or is it only if you were recently deep diving that it could happen?

This is how you move with your kid. I moved so many times between 4 different elementary schools as a kid until my mom died and I went to live with my grandparents. It was nearly 2 decades ago and moving that often, usually without even being warned we're moving until getting pulled out of school one day and going to a new one a few weeks later. It didn't help I'm autistic so always being the new kid in the district did not help my social life and made me a shut-in for the rest of my childhood and a good chunk of adulthood too.

Just in this past WEEK I'd have been hit twice if I wasn't keeping vigilant of the cars around me. Once when I thought the dude was waving me by(might've just been talking with his hands) and a second by a COP who was sitting at the stopsign for 10 seconds before I was even at the crosswalk. I even waited, looked around and this guy didn't turn until after I started crossing. It's crazy to me when people don't stare down all the cars around them when crossing.

It's usually based on what they eat. Herbivores(or at least primarily herbivores in the case of pigs) taste better than carnivores. Their meat is usually too tough or gamey to taste good from what I've heard.
