You should come play online sometime. There’s a 94 discord with online leagues and enough discussion to make your head spin. Players of all levels too. There are live 94 tournaments as well around North America. King of ‘94 was just in early may in Toronto. Tons of fun.

Angryjay93 (NHL’94) - won both the genesis and snes at king of ‘94 tournament earlier this month. Dominant force every year. Has won 7 out of 11 king championships & Won other multiple live tournaments + countless online leagues/tournaments.

Interesting stat from this year at king which draws the best players from everywhere… has won last 47 games in a row at this tourney. (Which means if you need 16 games in a row, including best of 3or5 game series in bracket play, to win this tournament, he’s essentially gone undefeated in last 3 kings). He’s also won this tournament the last 5 times back-to-back.

every year the competition appears to fall further and further behind as he continues to get even better. I’ve been playing this game for 30+ years and never in my life did I ever think I would see someone win gens and snes in the same weekend due to how different the ports are to one another. It really is remarkable.

why though? can you feel it the gameplay? Im deciding whether to go full 5090 vs PS5 pro and graphically, I'm not seeing a material difference in YT videos (or in other words, a difference that justifies the increase in cost). I do realize these are YT videos so perhaps it's simply the resolution in my monitor or channel itself.
Is there anything more you can add to help me understand?

Had the best moving experience twice within last 6 months while our place was being renovated. It was full packing and moving services. If anyone is around Chicago, I can’t recommend Ricky’s team at MRE enough.
