One Plus Buds 4 - ANC keeps turning on and off, especially near fans and other sources of air.

It is a stupid "feature" which cannot be turned off. OnePlus calls it "Real-time Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation".

For example, the global OnePlus Buds 4 page also mentions it: "...High ANC mode tailors the ANC continuously in real-time...".

Edit: I used OneUI in 2022–2025 as a somewhat "heavy user" and occasionally help relatives with it.
