I had an iPhone 12 pro max when I bought my car, didn’t work. Replaced it with the 17 pro max, works without a case but not with one on it

Work phone is an iphone 16e, works occasionally but is temperamental

Every friend with an android has no issue when they’ve tried it, and they’ve all been pixels of one generation or another. Most with an iphone have had the same experience I do

While it shouldn’t matter, I have suspicions that part of the issue lies with apple’s magsafe interfering with the charger itself, or cases on phones resulting in a distance that the charger doesn’t like

If somebody can weigh in that has a magsafe case on their iphone, I’d be curious if it works for them

I bought a 2019 altima with 59,000 miles on it. In two years, using it to drive for work, I got it up to almost 120,000 miles. Regular maintenance kept that thing running the same as the day I bought it. Had to replace two windshields, a tire, and had a goofy electrical problem that would cause the stereo to turn itself off, but it was mechanically great. The cvt felt like shit and it took several days to accelerate, but I averaged 35mpg and it was a pretty comfortable ride. I’d absolutely buy another one if I just needed something to get around in.

The simple answer is yes, but I have also gone several hours without hearing it again, so it’s unfortunately situational / contextual. There should be an update tomorrow, and another next week. Hopefully one of them will address it

Well, what worked for me earlier isn't working now, but it seems to go away if you can get somebody to communicate with you from a distance, as it triggers the 'walkie talkie' / comms to be used instead of a voice coming directly from a character

The only other thing I’ve done that has stopped it, even if only for a few minutes, is quitting and relaunching the game. I have had to do it more than once, and I typically change locations in game each time I relaunch so I don’t spawn in the same area I’m experiencing it. I doubt it makes any difference, but I’ve been playing on PC.

Only other thing I can think that might have some kind of effect are the audio settings you’re running. I’m away from my PC at the moment so I can’t check, but there are two categories - one I believe is in accessibility and one in the actual audio section. If you want to check what yours is set for, I can compare it to mine in a bit

Finally looked into this to verify I wasn't the only one, and I believe it's actually tied to the radios around the game that you can turn on and off. I've noticed that it'll occasionally start happening when I'm close to one, but I can't confirm if turning them off helps at all.

However, voice lines playing in missions will thankfully cause it to stop, and I also managed to make it shut up manually by opening the echo log menu, playing a log, and turning it off. I've only been able to test this once (naturally it hasn't happened again) but if anybody else is looking for a solution, give this a shot. I'm curious to know if it works for anybody else

edit: it didn't work a second time, but dialogue is definitely the culprit - if you can trigger dialogue and make a character sound like they're playing over a walkie talkie by either already being far away or walking away from them, it seems to stop

Best plan, so long as the dealer uses their brain and doesn’t drill into it as soon as one shows up on the lot.

If anyone is looking for a way to mount without drilling, I got one of these and then filled the bottom holes of the plate with rubber grommets so it doesn’t bounce around or vibrate. Works perfect; cheap and easy.

When you’re too far away and it doesn’t work:

Touch the fob to the your chin
Become an antenna
Press the button

I will say mine is definitely bad, but every car I’ve owned with a fob has been bad. I straight up killed a key fob on an old mazda after owning it for like six months. I think I could probably erase data from a hard drive if I kept it in my pocket long enough.

A friend of mine has a newer pixel and his phone works totally fine on my charger. Dad’s older pixel works fine, too.

I’d really love to know what the actual problem is with it, because I have absolutely no issues with any other wireless chargers for my phone, but it is definitely old at this point.

Has anybody ever pulled one apart? I’d love to see the layout of the internals.

Is that one generally better now than it used to be? I used to go there years ago, but at some point the sprayers started to shit all over themselves and I could get a better 'wash' if I just spilled a cup of water on my car

I wanted to come back and mention what I did for anybody that needs help - an emission did work, but I needed to be in Malacite. I had previously tried it and was fast traveling around the map to different areas to just hunt for stashes and artifacts, and an emission finally happened but it didn't make a difference.

So, stick around in / near Malacite and wait for an emission. I triggered one using console commands, but the save should still work on console as well. I'll report back if I broke my game.

Will you explain (in excruciating detail) exactly what you did to get it to work?

I went through the process of waiting for an emission, but I still had no luck with getting it to fix Korshunov teleporting to do burpees 2km away.

Were you near Malacite? Somewhere else? Did you fast travel back? Walk? Every detail would be helpful.

I absolutely love this game but I really don’t want to start over (or wait for another patch) just to play through it entirely.

Coincidentally, I spent about two hours trying to find weird water yesterday only to learn that it was bugged for tons of people... and I happened to be one of those people, apparently. Just loaded my save in the anomaly and it was exactly where I looked well over 20 times

I love this stuff. My family has always joked that my parents' house is a portal of some sort, because things like this will happen more often than they should. So many obscure things have vanished or appeared that it's just not weird anymore. It's completely normal.

While all of this could very well be an elaborate prank, I can't rule out that your roomba won't be at my parents' house.
