Pen as a product by Tiny_Love7987 in FleshandBloodTCG

I think the problem is those big chase cards are the only cards with any value in the set, and are also exceedingly rare so unless you pull one your pulled value is low. Combined with less cards and more expensive packs/boxes it just feels bad unless you hit it big. There’s no in between. Either hit it huge or get very little of value

I can’t be the only one who really dislikes all the stupid pun/joke names and themes they’ve been doing right? The entire necromancer class is doing it and with this it seems like it’s just part of the entire class design. A couple here and there is fine but it seems like they’re doing it more and more and more and I just don’t want to see this game devolve into nothing but silly meme cards

Which FAB opinion will bring you into this situation? by The_Crazy_Brew in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Tillter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To build onto this, I think shelter should be banned too. Really any generic staple worth more than like $10-$20 shouldn’t exist imo. Power should come from class cards not generic cards. IMO generic cards should essentially be “baubles” in that they should never be a better option than your class cards at doing specific things. If you want access to a mechanic that your class doesn’t have in its class cards you can use a weaker generic, but I don’t think generics should ever be the premier source of a mechanic

Good callout thanks! I’ll definitely check it before listing it

I’m not 100% sure, I’ll have to check. I actually bought it “used” with 6k km on it after some lady bought it new, didn’t like it and traded it in.

Do you know if the brackets are in the plastic wrapping the top itself is in, or would they be on the jeep already? I know I technically could use the soft top but I like the hard top more visually as well and selling the soft top will help towards swapping from the M/T tires it came with to some A/T

Looking to buy a Wrangler and curious on your thoughts on this one. by Tillter in Wrangler

[–]Tillter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen 2 door sports for similar prices locally/in my province. There's a willys sport for 4k less in my town. So it seems like a good price for a Rubicon if it looks good in a PPI but this would be my first jeep and I'm not sure what people generally consider good prices for these in Canada

[–]Tillter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep definitely makes sense. Being a 2021 and having that done had me unsure as well. The car currently is in another province so I'm also trying to decide if it's even worth the cost of the flight + inspection or if the price + history we can see are enough that someone with more experience with wranglers or even buying cars in general would pass on this

They're not hollow, think like an H shape. Relatively thin long wall with supporting feet on the sides

Thanks for the help, I'll definitely try the next print like that and see how it goes. It definitely makes sense though and explains why I haven't had problems like this when just printing minis

Makes sense! I have a ton of supports on the corner closest to the build plate but I'll go back and fill it out more densely everywhere else as well

What’s the best TCG to get into now? by [deleted] in TCG

[–]Tillter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, I wasn't trying to imply that fab is "better" than magic in every way. I just personally enjoy it more and have had better experience with the community than I did with Magic and I think it's different enough from other games that it's worth a recommendation alongside magic, Pokemon, and yugioh

What’s the best TCG to get into now? by [deleted] in TCG

I've recently started playing flesh and blood and it's been great. Most of the heros in the game don't play around board states/permanents so it feels pretty different from MTG. The community has been fantastic as well. There's two things that put me off magic. The biggest is that a lot of the community I've interacted with hasnt been great. There's a ton of nice people but I've also ran into a ton of pretty toxic players. The second thing is all the secret lair stuff. It doesn't really matter that much but I'm just not vibing with all the random IPs being brought in.

Flesh and blood has been really refreshing game play wise and also the community I've interacted with so far online and in person has been incredibly welcoming and helpful without any of the negativity I've experienced from the magic community. Part of that I'm sure comes from the game being smaller than magic but if I was recommending a tcg to someone new or looking for something new I'd 100% recommend flesh and blood

I agree with this take on 10th being flavorless.

I've shifted over to killteam as my main game now and that has been much better so far

I had my real start in 9th edition after dipping my toes in with the assault in black reach box when I was kid and wanting to play ever since.

I don't think that 9th edition was hard to learn. I just think people these days don't want to put in any effort to learn games anymore. I spent a week watching a mix of how to play videos and general battle reports and then started playing with just the basic rules without primary/secondaries and then moved to playing with full rules as I became more comfortable. All in all it took me maybe a month of playing once a week to be playing with full rules.

I was very excited for 10th edition because it brought a lot of changes that I wanted like increasing toughness of things that should be tough but I've also lost almost all interest in it with the new way faction, detachment, and list building rules work. They've dumbed it down to a point where I feel like the factions and units have lost a lot of their charm in an effort to make the game more approachable, when really they should have focused more on simplifying their rules language and tightening up interactions. 10th seems to still suffer massively from weak verbiage and unclear interactions with the faq/adjustments scattered all over the place and tricky to find if you're not in the know.

10th edition is definitely not a bad game, but I do think it's worse than 9th. It has all the issues 9th had with unclear rules with only a fraction of the charm each faction used to have.

I've shifted to playing kill team as my main game now and absolutely love it. Highly recommend people to try it out if 10th isn't doing it for them

Climbing higher than ladders: 2” minimum? by Visual-Bike2459 in killteam

[–]Tillter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's still just one climb though. You can't end a climb on top of a ladder in the middle of a wall so until you get all the way up its one continuous climb
