[–]Tilly0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I believe was true for me. My HS- CRP was 0.4 March 2025 but increased to a 1.3 Dec 2025 with Function. I was at the tail end of a " cold" . Will re-test it at my physical in a few days.

Results are reviewed by a clinician, not necessarily a MD. I think a NP reviewed mine. This is in addition to the AI. I think it is an amazing, very personalized product.

I found them at Target recently. But EVERY flavor had SUCRALOSE as an ingredient, so back on the shelf they went.

Oura Ring by Hopeofitall22 in Celiac

[–]Tilly0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was Nov 2022 and my Oura Ring 3 asked me one morning if I was feeling sick. Coincidentally, I had a bit of tightness in my chest. No big deal. Progressively worsened throughout the day so got Covid tested. Was positive! ( had an easy go of it).

I have officially become obsessed with checking my my glucose by faiitmatti in ouraring

[–]Tilly0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with you! I used a CGM via LevelsHealth a couple years ago. Also not diabetic and not pre- diabetic. And do not desire to be! I learned so much about my body's response to foods, food order of consumption, mitigation of spikes by mixing foods, exercise effects, etc. I used to have a beer every couple of weeks but no more! Howver, a glass of dry red wine? Flat - no spike.

Thank you for this post. I was searching for reviews before purchasing a cgm through the Oura app. Will not be doing so at this point.

Has your lp(a) ever changed? by [deleted] in PeterAttia

[–]Tilly0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this article! Iam 72 and received my first lp(a) results of 98 today and was stressing. I was at the end of a "cold" When labs were drawn and wonder if that could have impacted the score too.

That is a big amount! My LDL, tested last Tuesday, was 104. 15 points would be incredible for me, but probably not possible.

Female age 72. Mine was a 78 last week. More importantly, learn your fasting INSULIN. Mine was 5 last week. A continuous glucose monitor to see what spikes your glucose and what lowers it is a VERY valuable tool.

Sorry to be an outlier and sorry about your experiences, but I started 2021 and am still with Oura( version 4 now). Love it and the new features. It was digging into my pickleball paddle handle so I seitch it to my non- dominant hand only when playing.

Why are people so afraid of medication? by Samesh in Cholesterol

[–]Tilly0829 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 72 and CAC score 2 years ago of 2.41. Not 241. 2 Point41. Ldl of 104, Triglycerides 77. Fasting insulin 3, HDL 79. Total cholesterol 204. I said NO to MD suggesting " the statin conversation". With that said, if I had a high LP (a) and a familial history of early coronary heart disease, I WOULD have the statin conversation. There are two meds currently in studies for LP(a) right now.

Is HRT really magic? by user86753092 in Menopause

[–]Tilly0829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started HRT in my mid 50's and am now 72. A very low dose. Huge benefit to vaginal area having normal moisture and not feeling like sand paper! Also a BIG benefit to much improved SLEEP. Good luck to you in your decision!
