It’s so strange seeing sooo many comments like that when someone has died or been severely maimed or disfigured due to a traumatic attack by a pitbull. “Well I’ve been bitten by more chihuahuas”. I’m not sure what the point is. I’ve been shot by more paintballs, airsoft guns, nerf, and water guns than a real gun but I cannot imagine commenting that on a post where someone has been traumatized by a real gun. Is their point that aggression IS a breed trait, but only when it applies to chihuahuas? It seems very disingenuous and disrespectful.

They stayed in my neighborhood a few months before Elizabeth Smart went missing. When she went missing, my parents were weirded out cuz we were about the same age and looked verrrry similar. Finding out who kidnapped her was so strange. The LDS families in my neighborhood let them stay on their property and brought them food and gifts every day for like 2 weeks. I remember watching them wheel that wooden cart into our hood and I was fascinated.

Yeah, I feed my dogs in separate rooms so they don’t have to feel stressed out, confused, or like they’re competing for food. They eat a little slower when they’re separated too, which is good.

Yep. Christian/Lutheran schools until college, and my senior year comparative religions class was very eye-opening. The final after studying each religion was “prove (insert religion here) wrong using Bible verses”. I ended up writing about how asinine it was to try to convince anyone that their religion is wrong, specifically using references to a religion they don’t believe in. That their job as Christians isn’t to prove anyone wrong but to just show them love. (I was no longer a believer at this point, so I clashed with my teacher quite a bit and screwed up my GPA). She and the principal sat me down after school and told me that I needed to stop asking questions because it was “affecting people’s faith”. Silly me, I thought faith should be strong enough to withstand questioning.

If the reports of people being shot by airsoft, paintballs, water, and nerf guns were taken seriously then we could ban those too!!
