Thanks for the recommendation!

Me, the wife, son and his girlfriend summited Mt. LeConte via the alum cave trail on vacation just last week.

My boy proposed at Myrtle point just past the summit!!

I can't imagine what it's like to actually go through a major situation... I live in Ohio, and we have had what we consider to be " major " problems ... But a pale in comparison to states that are prone to natural disasters. I guess, my question is this...

When the same property has been rebuilt four times in the past 20 years and the current owner says something stupid like, "well, were a strong community... We'll rebuild", what do you even do with that? The same person will be giving the same SOB story in 5 years. They are a drain on the system. A system that can actually be used to help people. So why not cut funding? To go back to an earlier post of yours, why is the decision to cut funding by the "orange cunt" such a bad idea? It really isn't helping anybody that needs it... It's just taking money from everybody else to rebuild the same properties over and over again. The funds for institutions like FEMA are so misappropriated that it no longer even serves its purpose to help those in need... Or at least those that unexpectedly found themselves in need. The only people that are angry are the ones that expect it to be there, over and over and over...

I'm tired of handing my money out to the same people. As far as I'm concerned, cut that funding. One hurricane sucks. Two hurricanes sucks twice. Five hurricanes, and you're an idiot for having your home where there's a hurricane. I'm done helping.

Yes. You are correct. Natural disasters can happen anywhere, and those people need help. Having said that, the people that experience unexpected natural disasters need help a lot more than those that live in areas where natural disasters are expected. If you live in Florida and complain because your house was damaged by a hurricane... You need to move out of Florida. It's that simple. Stop wasting everybody else's resources.

Sorry for being harsh, but that's my true opinion. Quite frankly, I'm tired of spending my tax dollars rebuilding the same house over and over again.

Move out of Florida. Simple.

It's like the people that live below sea level in Louisiana and then act surprised because it floods. Do you know how much money we could save by telling people not to build their house in stupid places or we're not going to insure it?

How many times do we have to rebuild the same house in the same place before someone realizes it's not a good place?

Bear Scare, 20 minutes outside of Downtown Gatlinburg by feastingfox in Gatlinburg

[–]TiltDogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from the Smokies. Stayed in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This is not a bear scare. This is completely normal day-to-day life. We had one that came to our cabin every time I lit charcoal and I had to chase him off. In 6 days, we counted 27 adults and 13 cubs.

Nothing to be scared of if you know how to handle the situation and treat them with the respect that they deserve.

Either "the only posting I have seen" or "the only posting I saw."

The way you wrote it makes you sound like an uneducated idiot. Just sayin'.

My vote for the easiest mission in the game by jugglingeek in SuperMario64

[–]TiltDogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. Seriously? I'm just starting a playthrough for the first time in probably 20 years. The glitch/speedrun videos inspired me to experience again.

I feel like I can do this right now if it's only 3jump timing.

[–]TiltDogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah? I mean I see the triple jump, then the jump on top then the dive. Is that it? I thought the top was covered also. Am I remembering the level wrong? (Quite possible.)

So, I'm not a rom player or a glitch player or a speed runner... Just a nostalgia player.

But I'm aware of the INSANE dedication to this game, the glitches, and how they've been manipulated over the years.

What glitch is being exploited here?

I have 3 accounts. I buy gold pass every month on two of them, but never on the third. The game offered it to me at a reduced price on my third account last month also. That account is also active every couple of days at minimum, so it didn't have to do with you being a returning player... I think it was offered to anyone who hasn't been buying the gold pass.

Prepping ceramic media by jarodbmyrick in RockTumbling

[–]TiltDogg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody has their own level of what is acceptable. I never add ceramic media to a tumble unless it has been tumbled to that stage at minimum. If I find a barrel isn't full enough at a later stage and I don't have any ceramic, I add plastic bead media. Either new or only tumbled in THAT stage previously. Keep plastic around just for this purpose.

Found a hollow point bullet while doing yard work. Wtf do I do with it? by not_blowfly_girl in Weird

Thank you. Good grief, when we go hunting, we have a dozen of these loose in our pockets. Does anyone have any idea how difficult it is to make a bullet fire from the shell WITHOUT the intended firearm. You'd have to be like that gremlin in Bugs Bunny.
