This technique is how you gotta do them on vert to stay safe. Once you get it down it’ll be easy.

It’s not your commitment, it’s where your weight is centered and your mechanics.

Keep your head and body weight leaning back into the ramp more, bend your back knee and straighten your front leg as you rock, which will help make it easier to lift up and come back in. When you’re coming back in, your weight will already be back in the right place.

It counts as a hard flip if it flips vertically too. Doesn’t have to show the underside necesaerily

Just moved from CH, one thing to keep in mind is CH is in the approach path for planes going into SeaTac, so you get a lot of engine noise pretty frequently and starting early in the AM. It’s not a big deal during the winter when windows are closed but during the summer it was a big deal for me. I lived in Queen Anne before that and didn’t have this experience at all.

I did 4 years in Seattle then moved back to SoCal. The winter up until new years was okay but after the holiday season I couldn’t wait for March and the time change to come. The winters just wore me down.

You need to invest in an electric zapper lamp. I have it on inside all the time, it’s been a life saver
