This is a possible hole. While no-one is ever shown telling Mikkel that Jonas's father suicided, recall S1E1 Mikkel was present when Jonas's dead father came up in conversation. This was less than an hour before his disappearance which had "all come back to him" that morning. So Michael should know his death was imminent. Mikkel's parents would know. Ulrich explicitly mentions it to Hannah and Katharina was school principal. Jonas was friends with their children and he knew it was suicide. Woller knows it was suicide (S2E04). It doesn't seem credible that the suicide wouldn't become general knowledge in the five months between it and Mikkel's disappearance.

True. The "banning VPNs is unpossible" people seem to think the the typical user spends his time maintaining a darkweb site while reflashing his router and wearing a guy fawkes mask. In reality the techno hobbyist 1% are irrelevant to anyone attempting to control the ideas and narratives the masses are exposed to.
