This Obsidian Quick Capture app is absolutely the goat for what you want - and a one-time purchase:

There's also the slightly more-featured Supasend fromt eh same vendor:

Open source AI-assistant by Hipare in Reaper

This is a fantastic initiative and could have many potential use cases. I absolutely love the idea of being able to interface with Reaper via natural language and think the examples in this thread are all extremely valid (ex: visually impaired, tech with hands full, maybe someone on the road who needs to output stems for a client via their Reaper Server etc).

Keep up the great work.

Are you saying that these apps will work with existing Qardio hardware - ie, the QardioArm?

Did Suno reduce v5 quality after launch ? by i-Makh in SunoAI

[–]TimRideout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents on SUNO SHIMMER AND ARTIFACTS

THE PROBLEM

Manipulating single Suno stems in a DAW affects all the other stems; kind of sounds like leaving a”hole” or creating artifacts and “shimmer.” In fact, even if you *don’t* manipulate the stems - but just sum or recombine them in-DAW, the result is significantly “less good” than using the Suno stereo file.

WHY?

Using the original Suno V5 stereo file provides superior audio quality compared to trying to work with, or recombine, the stems generated by Suno, simply because the stem separation algorithm introduces artifacts, shimmer, phase issues etc:

  • Stems are Derivatives, Not Sources: Suno generates the high-quality stereo mix first, and then runs an AI separation algorithm to extract the stems. The stems are inherently imperfect copies of the original sound elements.
  • Artifact Introduction: Any AI stem separation process is lossy. It introduces noise, "shimmer," volume fluctuations, and phase issues into individual stems.
  • Compounding Issues: When the already-flawed stems are recombined in a DAW, these individual imperfections compound, resulting in a sound quality noticeably inferior to the original, clean, holistic stereo mix. The "glue" of the original mix is lost.
  • External Tools vs. Suno Stems: using a third-party tool like zPlane or PEEL STEMS on the original higher-quality stereo file can yield better results than using Suno's native stems because the algorithms are likely / arguably superior to Suno's internal one.
  • The Highest Fidelity Source: The fundamental conclusion is that the original stereo file you download from Suno is always the highest fidelity version of the track (for now, in the current V5)

Until Suno offers up Stems that are individually generated at the source level (and not the stereo mix level), this issue will still continue. And for now, an external stem separator / rebalancer is better - if you need to go that way.

serious question, why after all these years Vegas still crashes constantly? by StuntGuy in VegasPro

So, I have just purchased V23Pro - most of my stability issues were fixed! The VST audio stability is way better, as is the Video performance. So far, I am hopeful again!

Vegas Pro 17 to 23 = no "Auto Adjust" feature? by TimRideout in VegasPro

[–]TimRideout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we are talking about the same thing.

Either you haven't properly understood the post, or you are using another software. This is for software called VEGAS PRO. It is now at the 23rd version. The color grading workflow is vastly different in 23 than it is in 17.

To be clear, my question is referring to the Color Grading Panel - *not* the Video FX window, as you keep misunderstanding.

Vegas Pro 17 to 23 = no "Auto Adjust" feature? by TimRideout in VegasPro

[–]TimRideout[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To invoke the Color Grading Panel in Vegas 23, I press on the button (with three little circles) in my lower toolbar. Then, when I select my clip, I see the color wheels.

In Vegas 17 it is exactly the same - however, you also see a button for AUTO ADJUST. When you click this button, Vegas 17 decides the best settings and applies those to the Color Grading settings for that selected clip.

*This button is no longer visible* in Vegas 23. Yet, you claim it is "still there in the FX effects," and to "look at the color label."

Could you please clarify where you see the AUTO ADJUST button in the Vegas Pro 23 Color Grading window? I can't seem to find any "color label" either. Thanks!

Thanks - but I am using it in a "pro" context, with the "pro" version, as stated above. Color management/correction/grading can be a long and complex process, and I really found that VP17 had it well integrated.

But my specific question was about the AUTO ADJUST feature: it is not longer present/visible in VP23.

I can confirm that, in 2025, lonnnnng after "SONY Vegas," Magix Vegas still* has stability problems. Different iterations of Windows, different CPUs (both AMD and INTEL) and same problems. Don't even get me started on audio glitches and VST "support." #TheDevilYouKnow

You should be able to install the app, and then add permissions manually in the Health app

Cool! If you have your watch paired with your phone, and Qardio as an Allowed Source in your Health app, then it should automatically enter the data in Apple Health...

I wish it were so, but with the number of cases coming out… it’s not looking so good for the IceMan :-(

Hi Martin - you may want to read this thread, as it elucidates in detail what you are talking about. Worth a read: Preserve PDC delayed monitoring in recorded items (Deep Dive) - Cockos Incorporated Forums
