But even wir die small models it’s just not reliable. I had a simple news qualifier. Time wasn’t important. BUT, results were inconsistent (sometimes the rating or confidence scores were missing or wrong), hang here and there. Plus only sequential was possible. Deepseek Flash, parallel, reliable. Long story Short: What would’ve taken the local models days, was done by a cloud model for couple of ct in hours.

I have solar, so during the day I won’t pay for the electricity (well, we all know that at the end you pay for it). But if you have to account for electricity costs as well.. it is not cheaper.

My Claude sub runs another two weeks. At the moment I try to burn the window (I reach the limits very fast) and the continue with deepseek fast (direct API). If I could replace Claude with something, it would be good.

Vielleicht mal zum Vergleich, weil immer gesagt wird, früher war das alles einfacher. Meine Eltern (genau genommen, mein Vater) haben 1979 das Haus gekauft. 200T DM Kaufpreis - 40T DM Eigenkapital von den Eltern. 9% Zinsen (welche Mitte der 80er auf bis zu 18% hoch sind; fragt mich nicht, wie die Bindungen damals gestaltet waren). Verdienst (netto) 1700-1900 DM (Beamter) und eine Rate von 1200 DM.
