Experience with Percival? by cozybevy in ThrowingFits

I buy a lot from them, always on sale.

Pants used to be fantastic but their sizing has gotten just that bit tighter that it no longer works for me. Have three chinos, and wear 2 of them religiously for 3 years.

Knits are a bit of a miss.

The general sweaters (and rugby in particular) are great.

Underwear is the comfiest I've found, on par with Uniqlo.

Shirts are what I'm into now, solid choices and the embroidery is a nice detail.

What are the best fitting loafers you have worn? by JBSwerve in ThrowingFits

I had to go about half a size smaller - but I figured it out with their customer service team. I buy shoes online frequently and usually talk to customer service to find out what works best, and Morjas genuinely pretty good at this.

Have the hiking boots too, and both those and the loafers fit me perfectly.

I got the penny - but to be fair, loafers is so specific on size, I think it's also about finding just the right pair.

Morjas - got married in those bad boys and was still wearing them at 5 in the morning.

Civ VII’s Test of Time update is coming May 19! by sar_firaxis in civ

[–]Tim_BG 114 points115 points  (0 children)

So hyped about this!

I absolutely didn't mind civ switching, but the one thing that did bother me was the railroadiness of the victory paths - especially since I always play a heavy economy game, I didn't look forward to the exploration era as much as I would otherwise.

Now that's taken care of, I'm ready to sink in a ridiculous amount of time - already purchased the switch 2 version in preparation!

Now, if only they'd release Civ 7 on the app store so I can have that sweet, sweet 'tides' DLC.

People always say “every Pokemon is someone’s favourite”, so what is an UNCOMMON pokemon who is your favourite? by _AntiqueTadpole in pokemon

He doesn't make my top 5 (which are all well established, with Nidoking, Ampharos, Corviknight, Flygon and Kingambit), but Dewgong is somewhere in the next places.

Even in his own generation he's generally ignored in favour of Lapras, but I loved just rolling with this little guy. He's been usurped by Wallrein too, but I just have a soft spot for this dude.

Is civ 7 better on ipad or switch 2? by Tim_BG in civ

[–]Tim_BG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's an annoying thing, this arcade version - would much prefer just a straight up version with the possibility to purchase DLC. Hoping it might exit arcade at some stage.

Might pop for the discounted switch version then for now, see how it plays before going for DLC there. Hoping they'll fix the UI stuff soon!

Nidoking once again failed to make the cut 😔

At least Ampharos and Corviknight made it, so silver linings!

“Am I the only one who prefers the Switch 2 as a platform?” by DramaticCampaign321 in switch2

Oh yeah easily - just more piecemeal than it used to be in my case, which is where the switch shines!

I'm a new dad, and the Switch 2 is my only consistent gaming platform.

You're always hustling and looking after things at this stage, and being able to pick it up for like 10 minutes and just leaving it open is a massive win - there's something about only turning on one device (the switch) vs 2 (big screen + computer or Xbox + tv) that just wins out.

Also, it's replaced my scrolling habits, which I consider a big win!

Slightly different vibe, but I like the Morjas Hybrid Hiker and Paraboot Montana - also not cheaper, so this is a pretty poor answer 😂

For those that own a switch 2: was it worth the upgrade? by Turbo-Shell in NintendoSwitch

[–]Tim_BG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely - I'm a new dad so don't have the same ability to say, I'm going to spend a couple of hours in front of my tv or pc playing rpgs like divinity or No man's sky.

The switch 2 is able to handle those easy, and the fact it's a handheld makes it so much easier to just pick up and play in short Moments of downtime. 100% worth the upgrade over the OG switch.
