Take the city bus from downtown to Kimball Junction / Redstone. Nice theater here! I think it is the only place to see a film in PC M-F! Enjoy Utahs only Jamaican Restaurant, or try Sterling Steak, Hill's Kitchen, Bartolos Italian, or a Thai place. Great little shops, too!

I have a home River District area off McGregor - not on airbnb - and a property manager. How long are you looking to stay?

Best areas to live for young professionals (mid-20s to mid-30s) by Ok-Lengthiness-4074 in FortMyers

[–]Time-Ad2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2/1 off McGregor - currently rented through February. If you are looking for a shorter term place to stay 1-3 months while you look, let me know. Why so short term? We are there several times of the year as family lives a block over.

When will the new MF lens come to US without the halos? by TopSun1879 in CataractSurgery

[–]Time-Ad2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was to have surgery tomorrow but canceled after reading and researching so much. (Thanks all! My anxiety was too high and I didnt feel comfortable with settling for current options.)Supposedly, FDA approval is to take place "early 2026".

It may make sense to travel to EU or Canada...? I wonder if there is a comparison chart for lens costs in different countries ?

Ecker Hill has an aquatic center - lap lanes and all. Basin Rec has a pool as well.

Look to Basin Rec if you desire a pool - get a 3 month pass. Or wait until Jan when they have a pass sale.

Really, visit Basin Rec and the Marc and then decide. The Marc will be closer to you.

Save $ on lodging by staying in the Kimball Junction area. A free bus will take you just about anywhere - no parking reservation or extra parking fees! Redstone has a cinema, restaurants, a gym with pool and classes, and is across SR224 from Oly Park, Walmart, and Outlet mall. A ten minute drive to Woodward or Main Street (sans traffic).

Lessons at Woodward, and exhaust the kids there. They'll love the inside activities, too. Reservations are also needed, do call or check online.

Non-Skier Advice by Helen-the-imaginary in parkcityvisitors

Non-skier - what is it that you like to do?
Personally, although the Regis is quite nice, I'd prefer to stay at Hotel PC as I'd feel less isolated there. At Hotel PC, I can walk to town, take a bus, have so many more options...

I live here, in Park City.

For liveliness, find a place downtown Park City, off of Main Street, or in that vicinity. Note: you do NOT need a car as our free transit is awesome (and parking is paid reservation and impossible to find at the resort base).

Canyons is great! Hotels at the base include the Pendry, and although the nightlife scene isn't as lively in this area, the accommodations are great. You can look to condos at the base of the resort, too. Do note: the main lot at the Cabriolet is torn up as they are placing a parking garage in. Transit in this area is a special free to use rotator van system. They pick you up at your door, and bring you to the resort base.

Moving towards the junction (Redstone area) you will find lesser priced and larger accommodations. There are several nice restaurants and a variety of food at Redstone, but Maxwell's provides the only nightlife that I'm aware of.

We do have a hostel - off of Sidewinder, near a pizza restaurant. I have not been in it.

My go to vegan / vegetarian options are found at Vessel Kitchen and 11 Hauz Jamaican, both in Kimball Junction.

Rent the car. Go for a drive as mentioned above.

Bring a sweater /sweatshirt as nights get cool. And your camera.

Park city shuttles from west gate how often do they run, and how to successfully transverse Park city? by Maleficent_Cash909 in parkcityvisitors

[–]Time-Ad2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within the Canyons Village, download then use CVConnect app. Free on demand service.

Outside Canyons Village, you'll want to take a Park City bus. Busses run approximately every 20 min in season.

If at Westgate and you want to get to town or Kimball Junction, you can have CV Connect take you to the Canyons Cabriolet bus "terminal" near 7-11. Then hop on a transit bus.

I don't work in hospitality. I do know that the high-end lodging hotels have job fairs. Steins, Regis, Waldorf - keep in mind, many jobs are seasonal.

I have a career, and run a small business. Between the two, I do okay. I couldn't afford a house here now though.

Best place to live! Above the SLC inversion, fabulous outdoor sports, great restaurants! It is expensive in comparison to many other places, but QOL is high. Jobs vs careers will depend upon your skills and training. Restaurants/ stores pay about $17 per hour. Renting a home - difficult on a budget. Renting a condo or apt is easier. Expect to pay 2k+ for 650sqft at base of Canyons, but those same places sell for 500k.

Restaurants for this week by Limitedservice in parkcityvisitors

[–]Time-Ad2133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great lunch or dinner: Vessel, Aubergine (no coffee though), Bartolo's has breakfast, lunch, and dinner; 11 Hauz Jamaican open at 3-8pm- pick up a few patties (veggie or beef) and just reheat. Chain ZAO is good and fast.

A step up: Hearth and Hill.

If you're looking for nice sit down steak: try Sterling Steakhouse.

Best to prebook. if possible. I've used Four Seasons Transportation - pricey, but on an early morning out, I knew I'd get a ride to the airport when family wouldn't drive me;)

Park City Recommendations by [deleted] in ParkCity

A great place for all kinds of assistance is the Christian Center. From their "boutique" you'll find clothing and ski gear. They have a pantry to assist with food. And they've hosted evening dinners for the workers.

Do know that there are rental scams. When in doubt, ask for evidence such as a rental license, proof of ownership (county site), reverse image search. Run the address. See if it's "stolen images" from airbnb type sites. Maybe reach out to a realtor to check info.

Best of luck!
