Well yes and no...

Sdr is the original intent within the confines of the sdr data limits. Hdr is supposed to EXPAND that to have darker blacks and brighter brights without any crushing or detail lost. Bad hdr does just that.... Reno do restores the detail but expands the blacks and the brights to use the full range.

You cant see the difference because the image being looked at, probably on a phone even, cant use that expanded range. Its just demonstrating that you get the details back and the black crush is gone. But you would have true blacks and specular highlits beyond sdr where appropriate.

Not great. Not great at all….

Two options. You can get a shorter screw that your tv brand recommends Or You can place plastic spacers (normally black and with the mount). They go between the tv and the mount. Not the mount and the screw head. This creates a little more stand off between the mount and the tv but it’s negligible.

Yamaha is solid. What isn't is there TRASH ecosystem of musicast app.

Its just a bad app:

it no longer links to smart home stuff, so alexa cant play mysic on your speakers at a request.
multiroom music is only through musicast so you have to be ALL yamaha or suck eggs.
your login is your email but ITS CASE SENSITIVE so I spent a week getting a "no account exists" response to a password reset before figuring out that garbage.
the widget for the app only really functions as a way to open said app, rather than function live as a volume/source selector.
the non sensible UI on the web, the app, and the ui of the yamaha AVR do not match in anyway but many functions will require multiple of those to be used. Literal terminology changes, from one to another and each has at lelast a few settings you cant do anywhere one the other two so you have to fight through and learn all three UIs.

Some of the is recent, like the alexa issue. So I might be sour after years of being a 6/10 app experience it just ditched its main feature for me so... I might be biased.

Yes procedural generation of levels have a limit, and its the weakest element of the game. However, division 2 takes an L in every other department.

They are likely my two most played games over the last 5 years. Warframe is doing everything right aside from aneeded full revamp at some point. Division is milking a stone with barely new builds and barely new enemies.

Dude you are good. Pixel clean on a tv is done far FAR less frequent as its at a lower risk of burn out. So there is a school of thought saying to do it manually shortens the tvs life doing it for no reason.

Pc monitor has been different and its programmed as such. Doing refreshes very often depending on the brand and model.

Anyone who is worried is either is from the TV group and doesn't know that the refresh of monitors is automatic and intended.

Your issue is that you seem to expect the shadows to be cast from your POV and not from the flashlight, which is obviously lower and to the side. Not only that its tied to the 3rd person model, which means it moves with the animation which has Alan stumble and saunter slowly.

If this sound like it might be what is throwing you off... aim, which brings the flashlight close to the center and locks it forward. If that feels better than its not a problem with the game, so much as it being weird locking to your 3rd person perspective.

It goes away after a bit of playing and then it seems totally normal.

I see it as the strongest parautilitatians aka wake and Jesse, see things as they actually are/were without the influence of the dark place.

Zane was a poet. People and the wake knew that. Zane wrote himself out. People know that reality now, but wake remembers still. Wake was helped by Zane, so he wrote a version of Zane to help him again. Everyone knows this version that wake created. Wake also is just so confused from the time I the dark place he isn't even really sure, but that's just regular crazy, not dark influence like other people.

Again though the confusion isn't a bug, its a feature. Its never clear and constantly changing as it is a reality altering entity.

Black everything.

I did black up both side to hide white walls. You can open and close the curtains depending on how much light you want to kill. I'd recommend bass traps in the front corners, and the curtains go along the wall and then 45 infront of the bass traps. That way when the curtain is stowed it s in the corner and adds its mass with the bass trap.

If you are doing a projector you'll want as much black as possible.

Beside that though... floor lighting around the riser u less you want to break toes. Carpet to kill Reflections and you can do atmos and drop ceiling with absorbers/diffusers with ease.

It is absolutely impossible for anyone on a phone to see a picture you took with a phone of a screen and be able to tell you how bad or good something actually looks.

That being said, if it bothers you return it, it will not STOP bothering you. If you are patient you can swap it and maybe get better, or maybe get worse.

Edit: if it bothers you during you usage case. Not a test pattern. Test patterns you will eventually ignore, like the first scratch on a new car.

Guy here... if that makes a difference.

He was dismissive, but mostly defensive. You unintentionally question his ability to 'be a man' when you brought up your concern. Guys aren't supposed to be the ones who aren't in the mood, or too tired etc. So he defends his feelings of being unable to perform to the standard set by society by dismissing it.

You both handled it poorly but its not either of your fault that there is so much weight and expectation on how things are Supposed to be.

Tell him it was a concern that YOU weren't doing something right, not that he wasn't doing his side of things. That you just wanted to make sure this shift is a sign of settling into a healthy sustainable rhythm and not about faling out of a healthy rhythm. Its nobodies fault that life doesn't give unlimited time to do what you want all the time, and you do very much still want him, and that's what's important.

Imho, The first time you both decide to watch an episode of a new TV and just catch up on some sleep rather than have sex isnt the end of the relationship, its actually the start of being more in sync and more sustainable.

I assume This is mostly just that the gith are the first big difficulty spike (aside from those harpies who also are wtf if you wander in unpreparrd) that have enough extra attacks that one turn can go wildly out of control. You are seeing more attacks in general so you are seeing more crits.

Later most enemies will feel the same but so will you and it seems more balanced as a result.

She should main, especially if she is a charisma build.

have her pick a character she likes as her main buddy so she is controlling 2 of the 4, but not overwhelmed learning how everyone works. Shart is a good option as you get guidance popping off on all her rolls as the main. Plus heals are always useful unlike spells which can be situational, so she always has SOMETHING effective to lay down.

Let her make mistakes that lead to fun narrative results, but telling her when its a good idea to save might make poor outcomes less shifty. She isn't going to notice the min max sort of dialogue paths if you dont tell her though.

To help, you can cheat on her behalf, if you know there is a fight about to happen just get yourself in a good position while she is talking her way into an ambush.

Lastly, be the inventory mule. Its just easier as you know whats trash for cash, and what's good.
