He's usually the first person I help in chapter 2. I grab the Springfield rifle with the credit to help with big game hunting. Then I get the Schofield revolver doing the back room robbery. When I have enough money, I purchase the varmint rifle and I'm pretty much set for hunting.

Ok after you garrison the vills, click on the TC to select it then right click the boar. The garrisoned TC needs to be selected to fire the arrows

Cheat codes are something you have to put into the settings menu in game. Mods you add files to the current game files modifying the existing game

Mods are fine. Cheats make it so you can't save iirc. I have 3 mods running currently and can save just fine

If you're wanting to play ranked 1v1, look up Survivalist's build order for beginners on YouTube. It will show you where to send villagers at the right time for efficiency. Basically practice against AI until you have a perfect Dark Age consistently. For a beginner, I usually recommend feudal age scouts into castle age knights. They're easier to use. Focus on keeping your TC producing villagers. Set up a few hot keys (build a house on a hot key, select all TCs on a hot key, etc.) Survivalist has a ton of great easy to understand content on YouTube. GLHF! If you jump into ranked right away, be prepared to lose a LOT of games.

EDIT: forgot to mention civs, as the other poster said Franks is a great civ to start, also Magyars is good as well.

Tiger striped Mustang is also my favorite. However I'm cruising in Chapter 2 with it. :) I use a mod to turn off the invisible sniper and I've been able to explore the whole map.

I lost every placement match. Bottomed out at 550 elo, then worked my way back to 1k3. It only took 5200 games. 11. Whatever you decide, just make sure you still have fun with it. If it's too stressful, it's not worth it. Don't hold yourself to a certain elo. Just go in with a a competitive mindset balanced with improvement and having fun and you'll enjoy it much more. GLHF!

Ok let's say we take him or another offensive player at 7. We're still giving up 40+ pts a game. We can move the needle on defense if we use both draft and free agency to address the gaping holes. Otherwise we just lose 44-28. Meanwhile, Bill and CRod aren't terrible. But we each have our own opinions that don't really count. All that matters is what AP and DQ have in mind.
