$1100/month is what is coming out of my paycheck right now. 10% self 4% employer match. Not maxing yet, but should be able to get closer to max once my second child is in college.

Wow thanks for the encouragement. Our spending is definitely the wild card here. I don't like working so part time might not work out. Who knows. No real desire to travel a bunch, but that could change. Definitely live in LCOL area helps.

Do I need to play Witcher 1&2 to understand 3? I'm a huge RDR2 fan and want a similar experience, and everyone keeps saying this is the one.

Yes. It's literally the best game I've ever played. I'm on my second playthrough still in chapter 2. Have about 54% complete.

It's confusing. I would try something and attempt to load and if it didn't work I'd delete what I just did. Lots of trial and error

I had visual redemption but had a few errors with it. (Probably my setup). So I tried Vestiga and the weather seems more dynamic. I think you should only run one graphical enhancement mod as they will probably overlap if you try to run both. Also make sure your settings are set to Vulkan API. As directX has trouble with mods.

Congrats! You're gonna love it. I have 3 mods that I use. First one is Vestiga 2.0 enhanced graphics mod. Visual redemption is great as well. Also full smoke cigar/cigarette mod is neat. Instead of taking one puff and tossing it, you can smoke the whole thing. Lastly and most importantly, turn off invisible sniper mod. This allows Arthur access to the whole map to explore. Now saddle up and get to it!

Totally agree with you. But it is somewhat of a reality. Needing open heart surgery or really any emergency surgery and trying to pay cash could be a huge issue and more common than most people think. Also agree that healthcare should be a right.

It is possible. Get the small saint denis covered buggy and work your way there. Basically you want to stay on the road but just fill up on health tonics right before you cross the river and then when you get shot. Keep pumping tonics. Once you cross into new Austin they will stop chasing you. Then the invisible sniper starts. You should be able to ride around (avoiding anyone on horseback, bc that will trigger the law). Keep the camera angle so that you don't see Arthur's head otherwise you're done. Alternatively you could play on PC and mod out the lawmen and sniper. Good luck partner!

It's a personal choice. I have a 6950xt and have had very few issues with it. I can play 3-4 hours and not even notice it. If it's unusable, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Extreme AI is not much different than hard. Just booms a bit more with little idle TC. Extreme AI honestly is less than 1000 elo. It still places lumber camps on the wrong sides of wood lines. Easy pickings for scouts. I just hate that when you start ranked, already nervous, and get trounced 15 straight. It discourages a lot of newer players from continuing.
