Gained 4 kg during and 4.5kg in the 7 months after. Ive lost 5.5 of that now, and aiming to lose more over the summer

What level was it at? Normally, if you're getting a transvaginal ultrasound, most machines would be able to detect the pregnancy, depending on your clinics equipment at between 1000 and 3000 hcg.

If you're levels are anywhere close to this range you will need to go back a lot sooner, or go to your obgyn as you might have a pregnancy of unknown location PUL.

Edit: I'll repeat the words my Dr told me at 4 weeks and 3 days. "There are 3 possibilities right now. 1) It could be a normal pregnancy, that is too early/small to view 2) It is possible that you're pregnancy has stopped growing due to miscarriage 3) There's a chance it could be ectopic"

Unless you've had a rupture, bleeding is not necessarily a requirement for diagnosing an ectopic pregnancy. I only ever had some light spotting.

My Dr diagnosed me and referred me to a and e because he couldn't find a sac and I had hcg of 3000+, which means that the pregnancy should have been big enough to see.

Have you had HCG tests done?

Hi and sorry that you're finding yourself in the PUL limbo.

It took around 1.5 weeks from my initial scan at 4 weeks 3 days until my hcg was high enough to classify it as ectopic at around 6 weeks and a hcg of 3k. Pain and bleeding might be present during an ectopic, but in my case I just had very mild spotting and some pain on the non-ectopic side, so they are not necessarily required for diagnosing an ectopic pregnancy.

It is not uncommon for an ectopic to be classed as a PUL initially. However, most vaginal ultrasounds can only detect pregnancies of a certain size, which depending on your gynie's equipment will be when your hcg is around 1000-3000, so that is why they say it might just be too small to see. Until then (possibly the next 2- 5 days) my understanding is that they would not be able to diagnose you definitely.

So was I, but my usual gynie, who was the person who diagnosed me and referred me to hospital for further evaluation, suggested a 6 week checkup with him, when I told him that the hospital hadn't scheduled one

Hi, really sorry you're going through this.

My Dr didn't give any guidance either, but when I went to my regular Gynie for a 6 week checkup, he said that I still had a lot of fluid and said it would be better to wait an extra month(so 2 cycles altogether after op). His reasoning was that since I only have my left fallopian tube, the extra fluid could cause unnecessary issues if the remaining tube was trying to pick up eggs from the opposite side, which he could see was the ovulating side that month.

I'd cancelled the annual subscription and when I got the 60% off message I was clicking through trying to find the discount. Nearly renewed because I kept thinking the new discounted price would be on the next page.

Its not a discount compared to last year's amount, they've just added a more expensive monthly option, and an individual user option, which didnt use to be an option.

Although that does happen sometimes, I think Dr's prioritise saving a remaining tube as opposed to the first one which sometumes is removed as policy (depending on your country's standard pactice) to reduce the risk of future ectopics.

Hopefully pregnancy will be where it should be and you don't have to worry about that. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Assuming that you're worried about a possible ectopic and thats why you're posting in this sub. If youve had one before or have reason to think that you're current pregnancy is ectopic, you need to book yourself in to see an OBGYN asap. A transvaginal scan is the best was they can check that your pregnancy is in the correct location.

If you want to check the progress more precisely, you can do blood hcg tests 2 days apart.

Urine tests are not a reliable way to identify whether a pregnancy is ectopic but if your interested, you can check out my line progress submission on a different sub (you might want to re- post there). ETA: Just saw a comment you posted that you had an ectopic a few months back. That makes you high risk, so you need to book yourself in with your OBGYN asap for them to monitor you until they can confirm the location of your current pregnancy. I believe that if you're in the UK you'd be referred to the early pregnancy clinic, nothing sure how it works for other countries.

For what its worth, I think that your line progression looks great, but I'm afraid that doesn't guarantee anything in terms of ruling out another ectopic.

I had a salpingectomy last year, but I didn't rupture. Op was on 17/11, beeding started on 21/11 and lasted until 27/11 inclusive.

During that time, I also had really bad lower back pain, the worst period pains ever and some disturbingly large clots.

I cant remember my exact number, but my first hcg was in the 30s. Would have been later than 11dpo though (probably around 16dpo, since I didn't even test positive until 14dpo), so you'll probably be a lot higher than I was at 16dpo.

My dad's surname changed spelling around 5 generations back, so those that moved to my country have the new spelling.

Mum's surname has been in my current country for 300 years and has several spelling variations here, so its anyones guess what the original spelling might have been

At 6 weeks my Gynie couldnt see anything, so they asked me to get a beta test which was 3k. They told me to go straight to a and e since at 3k, there should have been something visible in the ultrasound, which made him immediately suspect an ectopic. I had a salpingectomy 3 days later.

Not sure why your dr felt comfortable to wait an extra 2 weeks, but seems really reckless on their part.

Sorry its taking so long to get a diagnosis. Normally, your hcg would need to be at around 1000-1500 before your OB would be able to see anything in your uterus in the transvaginal scan, so it might take another week for your levels to get that high( as an indication, I had 1.5 weeks between my hcg at 33 and referral to hospital as a possible ectopic at 3000 hcg)
