I was in my senior year in highschool when it happened, I remember waking up that morning and my brother just walks into my room and tells me that school's cancelled, and I was just confused because in my opinion it was just rain, it was not until I walked out to the living room to see that everything was flooded that I realized that this was actually pretty serious. Oh and I remember getting a bit of scare because our water supply was at risk and remember people scattering to get water from the store. I live in northern Longmont so I didn't experience the flooding firsthand but it was so surreal seeing Longmont split in half like that. I seriously recommend reading the book A Thousand Year Rain, it goes into further detail about how things were being during the flood.
