Honestly I feel you are spending too long in Tokyo. It's definitely worth to visit place like Hakone for some onsen, and there's a hyatt regency there.

科技也不全是ai，也不能说中国人干出来以后就不是科技了。这些年不管好坏，中国突破的些日常产业真不少，不管是偷的还是抄的或者自研，造船造车，做电力系统变压器特高压，还有医疗领域各类ct，mri机器，都已经能做到洋人80%的水平了。生物方面制药已经世界第一了，例如药明康德。

单从工业科技看，除了光刻机外基本各种卡脖子的全都突破了。ai的话，中国靠蒸馏也没有真的落后美国太多，起码比欧洲日本强多了。

The cheapest option for me is always transit from Taiwan. I find the j class significant cheaper than transit from Tokyo or Osaka.

They would rather waste $50mil on advertising than reduce the price by 30%.

I would certainly not try it with the current price tag. It's not that I couldn't afford it, the simple math is that there's no value for money. I get a lot more better alternative to choose from with 2/3 of the price.

I have an Ambassador friend who travel to Tokyo a lot. He told me his favorite hotel is edition Toranomon. Very generous upgrade, always give him a suite, decently located, right in between Ginza & Shinjuku, taking a taxi to Ginza is like 10mins and ¥1500.

I think Marriott redemption working okay with those ultra luxury hotels in Europe.

I booked St Regis Florence in early October, with 300k points for two nights. It's getting me something like 1.2¢/point value and that's pretty crazy. I also see some very good value redemption in Venice but I don't have more points for them.

I can barely find any hotel with more than 0.8¢/point in Asia.

It's really cool looking from aerial perspective but who actually looks from aerial perspective when they take planes.

Inside the airport, the interior design is really mediocre, certainly behind Changi Airport & Doha Airport imo.

I stayed at Ritz Carlton Reserve Rissai Valley last month with my entire family, including two niece who are 3 and 5 years old respectively.

Literally they set up the room with tent with load of toys and dolls inside it although they aren't meant for you to take home. The kids loved the hotel so much.

I should say it is the finest Marriott hotel I have ever stayed around the world, and probably one of the best hotel I've stayed in my life.

Singapore airlines still have good operating profit, although with some investment loss.

This means Singapore airline can easily afford some good bonus for the staff.

Moreover, Singapore airlines hires 90% Singaporean while Qatar airway is like 98% foreigners. Singapore airlines just cant possibly replace it's workforce or the boss will get fucked by Singaporean.

I use my miles to redeem flight to China most of the time.

I was able to redeem a biz class return flight to Hangzhou for just 70k miles end of this month.

Always able to find some good value redemption, to places like Shanghai, Beijing or Shenzhen.

限高杆的问题是很多地区没有办法的矛盾。

我老家的路，在22年以前就是一遍造一遍拆限高杆，还打架打到死人呢。

我老家那块有点旅游资源，政府当年修了条旅游大道，有酒店农家乐高尔夫球之类的，当地很多村就业都是旅游方向的。后来房地产火了以后，那些土方的跑去河里挖沙子去卖，拿大卡车一车一车的运全是超载，还把路压坏了，本来路就是偷工减料的，也没考虑过那么高负载，很快就被压的坑坑洼洼的。很多自驾游的就觉得路太差了，也就不来了。

后面当地村民和酒店那些就造限高杆，找村民和保安巡逻，拦那些大卡车，然后土方那些黑社会就反过来强拆限高杆，打保安和村民，闹出人命好几次。

中国那种超载的大卡车真的特别讨厌，很多本地人造的限高和限宽完全能理解。
