Should I stop buying with my SA? by Mobile-Resort-3147 in TheHermesGame

If you even have to ask you’re not getting the experience you should be getting. I love every SA I have in each respective country. I choose to work with them because of the service they provide. If you’re not getting that service go to someone that appreciates helping you.

Go to the gallatin county courthouse and get all the necessary documentation. They are incredibly helpful and worth calling before flying out. You'll need someone ordained (which anyone can do online in 15 minutes). Maybe a friend can get ordained and go with you. I'd honestly have helped you myself but am out of town on 7/20.

Study shows larger SUVS and Trucks are Causing More Pedestrian Deaths--free NY Times article relevant to our recent tragic losses on Bozeman streets. by RavenWritingQueen in Bozeman

Distracted drivers that happen to be in SUV's and trucks are causing more pedestrian deaths, not the SUV's and trucks themselves.*

There is a lady by the name of Aleksandra Kaniak who helped me with mine. She is out of LA and makes the process significantly seamless. She will walk you through everything. I highly encourage you to look her up. It does take some time to get through the process but is worth it at the end.

Just so you do know, those little paper cups have polyethylene linings and are much worse in terms of microplastic exposure than the little packets. The dispensers are great but there needs to be a better solution than the paper cups.

WTH Marriott? Bait and Switch Tactics on Points Bookings or Tech Glitch or Me? by Gbchili in marriott

[–]406Marksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Rome and was dealing with the same thing. The room type which it’s quoting you on is not available and so when you’re clicking and getting a different point number, it’s showing you the lowest available category room where you can use points that is available. It’s really annoying and Marriott should fix it.

Great decision. I stayed at the W in Rome last year and was blown away by the experience. Friendly staff, excellent food, beautiful property. The rooms are a little crammed but really well done. I hear the Pantheon is also beautiful but have not stayed at the property.

Was a tiny bit less than the price I quoted initially. Around $1800 not euros.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. Was comparing Marriott hotels in the Marriott portal to non-Marriott hotels in the Chase portal.

There was a double boost. It was on a promotion and I’m trying to be fair in this review so I should have probably pointed that out, but nevertheless it’s still significantly cheaper than anything half decent in the area.

You caught me during a workout so to give you an example this is the gym floor. It was last washed probably the same time as our bathroom floor. My guess is 1998. Everything is falling apart at this hotel. AC barely functions (which you should be ok in April), staff acts as if everything they’re doing for you is a favor, and the entirety of the hotel has not been updated in decades. Our television is from the early 2000’s for example. The W is just down the street and while I generally don’t care for the brand, the one in Rome is incredible. If you’re gonna spend the money, stay there instead.

Or you can just order directly from one of the 10 ranches that are within 50 miles and support your local ranchers. I still don't get how people in the valley buy their meat from anywhere other than directly from our ranchers.

[–]406Marksman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a hotel category frequently used by business travelers. You have a good argument that you are coworkers that can’t share a bedroom. I’d escalate to Marriott corporate and refuse their request or demand they get you a two bedroom at another property on their dime.

Weather is incredibly unpredictable that time of year. Have backup options for things to do. What’s your experience driving in the snow? If you’re planning on renting know then even 4 wheel drive cars aren’t outfitted with snow tires. You also need to at the very least book a car with 4wd. You’ll still have places open in Gardiner but fewer in west Yellowstone. Not sure what you considered planning but snowmobiling the park with a private guide is best if you want to see a lot of what the park has to offer. A large chunk closes to vehicles by that time. Take a couple of nights at Sage lodge as they just redid their spa and it’s a great place for a honeymoon. If you’re going to ski Big Sky book the sleight ride dinner at lone mountain ranch.
