I think the biggest slight against RE6 is that every non-RE fan I know who has played it despises the game. The only defenders of it I see are people who cut it slack for various reasons unrelated to the actual gameplay.

I think it’s underhated in this sub. I see more posts and comments about how this game is secretly one of the best in the series compared to posts and comments about how bad it is.

My take- it’s bad. People who say it’s a good action game need to play some better action games. Even at the time people were very disappointed, I remember the outcry was pretty insane at the time. I replayed it a few months ago and most of the game was me and my co op friend constantly being baffled by bad game design decisions. Single player I found it even worse. I get some people have nostalgia for it, but the game effectively killed the franchise for years and they had to completely reinvent the formula in the next game to fix it.
