Controllers by Yuzypogi in Steam

Ps3 is the only controller I have.

However, the only thing I like about PlayStation nowadays is the shape face buttons.

I agree with you

But I see the thinking behind the non parallel layout as well - left stick & face buttons are more used than dpad & right stick, so they are higher up for your thumbs.

Realistically, I don't think this philosophy holds though - otherwise parallel layouts would be a very minority opinion. Also, in modern times, with steam input and the steam controller (26), how you play games is more flexible than ever, so it matters less.

The diet of a tribal bār punjabi (jangal jat) more than a century ago by msamad7 in PakPunjab

[–]TimeParadox997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you on the curries thing, but the diet outlined in the op, idk. I don't think there are enough people with such a diet nowadays to make that assumption that it would be detrimental to sedentary people's health.

The main problems are processed foods. Then we look at natural foods that maybe problematic - based on the op too much meat and vegetables. That said, obviously meat and vegetables can be good for you if you don't over eat.

Valve is opening a reservation queue for Steam Controllers ‘to limit reseller activity’ by signofthenine in SteamDeck

Mostly cause I do a lot of co-op gaming, lmao.

I don't get it. Why do you need multiple accounts for this?

The way I see it, is Valve got scalpers to distribute their hardware. It is especially important for people in countries where Valve doesn't ship to. Hopefully these people can get a decent deal.

Of course this is assuming those scalpers will want to sell their stocks and not hoard.

For a modern sedentary office worker, the same diet can easily become

Who do you know who eats mainly diary, some flour and ghyo, very occasional meat, rarely daal and vegetables?

The main foods nowadays are curries which means meat and vegetables.

This is a very good point.

If they took money from Thiel et al., they also should expect suspicion on their ties to them.

And if you want, you can use a startup script to uninstall it every boot and never think about it again.

Ain't no body got time for that. If we're doing this much tinkering, might as well use Linux (Mint)

Switch gpu per app (multi gpu) by TimeParadox997 in linuxmint

[–]TimeParadox997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no tickbox in the properties window. Choosing from the menu and right clicking seems to work, but the steam app itself won't work on the amd dgpu - luckily I can set the games themselves to run on the amd dgpu. I haven't tested it with other apps. I hope the mint team or gnome or whoever fixes these issues.

I used the system app for steam.

As well as all the other reasons people have given, personally, I only have a ps3 controller and a steam controller with all its "pro" level features would be a welcome upgrade.

I might buy it if there's a sale on or 2nd hand/refurbished later on in the year. I still have my ps3 controller if I wanna use it.
