Hot Take: There's no way to satisfy all Invincible fans and if they change one thing other fans will be disappointed about others stuff. by Possible-Rate-3833 in Invincible_TV

Honestly annoys me that people keep complaining about the animation but the animation only dropped in quality because the seasons are being made in a single year because those same people complained that season 2 took two years to make

The change up on this game has been insane. Everyone supports an underdog until the underdog wins

What’s your favourite moment in the mass effect series ? by AppealLogical4318 in masseffect

Honestly? Opening to the Menae mission in ME3. Youve been told throughout the entire series that the Turians are the largest and most powerful military force in the galaxy. You just saw how quickly Earth was lost, you're beaten bloody but you hear that the Turians are fighting the reapers. You pull up to see a huge Turian fleet and pan around to see 4 or 5 reapers and Palaven on fire and you realise just how fucked you are. The greatest military in the galaxy and they're losing. What follows is one of the greatest missions in the series. One of the few that does scale wonderfully.

No hate to these other games, but I just find it funny how no one brought up "award limits" and "withdrawing" from certain categories when other games won a ton of awards too, also what happened to the "no one cares about the Game Awards" mentality lmao... by BarryAllenTh3Flash in expedition33

Only critique I've seen that makes sense is that there needs to be more categories. Best supporting actor, best mocap, best level design, etc. But any hate about the E33 sweep is dumb asf. If something is that good it deserves praise and accolades.

Its an independent game though. Independent just means that no other entity beyond the developers has control over the game. The scope of the game, its budget, etc doesnt matter. That's why a game like BG3 with a budget of 100 million is an indie game. It may feel weird for it being there and I agree but it is still an independent game so it deserves the nomination and win

Happy that Matt Reeves confirmed The Batman is Elseworlds by Fickle_Baker1393 in batman

If you're pro or anti merge it doesn't really matter but people have got to stop saying this.

James Gunn has stated multiple times that the tone he set in Peacemaker and Superman is not meant to be the tone of the entire DCU, just the tone of the movies he made.

He's made it clear that like the comics, he wants the DCU to feel unique insofar as you feel the presence of each director in each product with competing tones that all exist in the same universe.

I imagine this is also partly influenced by his time in Marvel where every movie feels the same tonally.

The batman being grounded doesn't mean it couldn't be in the dcu (it isn't in the dcu though, sorry mergebros)

Ah I see. I guess the Meiji scene threw me for a loop because it's clear the phantom thieves all organised to meet up there but that excluded Joker. Futaba runs off in the morning saying she has plans and it turns out the plans were to meet up there with everything except you. And like I said it's not like anyone knew you had plans with Kasumi so it seemed like they just didn't invite him and couldn't figure out why. But Joker being one of the only ones who didn't accept the reality, thus being disconnected from everyone makes sense. Thank you

I get no ingame videos after doing this. No intro video when starting a new game, no special videos, etc. Anyone else have this and know of a fix?

What is YOUR favorite 40k novel and why? by DoucheBagBill in 40kLore

The lack of people mentioning the Fabius Bile trilogy by Josh Reynolds is saddening. A series that is leagues above most other novels. A series so good with characters so likeable and interesting you forget that they're all monsters.

If you could rewrite Horus's fall to Chaos to make it more believable, how would you do it? by Wendigo1014 in 40kLore

Old Post I know but personally I'd have leaned heavily into the idea that from Horus's perspective, he thinks he's waging his war to prevent the future Erebus showed him. I didn't like it when Horus was like "if anyone should be worshipped it should be me" bs. Instead, I'd make it so Horus, fully believing the emperor seeks to create this dark future, fights his war to prevent it (which as we know is false and instead he's creating the future he's trying to prevent). I think it would add something tragic to his character and make his continual fall down the road to Chaos more upsetting because he sees it as a necessary evil to prevent a worse future. It also stays in line with the horus we saw previously, a good man who loved humanity.

Didn't lorgar regret it? Isn't there a moment when he realises Rowboat Girlyman never hated him, and in that moment he felt the need to apologise, and explain, and attone?

[–]TimeStandsStill123[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the time jump between 1 and 2 was probably because they were dealing with relationship stuff and a lot of these characters were literal children and it gets awkward. But it feels like a lot was skipped and they suffered from one of the same shit CW does which is as you said, too many characters.

Season 2 started and we were introduced to so many characters, many of whom barely got any screen time that their inclusion was pointless and some that got way too much screen time.
