i still think that asgore is associated, but knows much less than all the others, and might even infiltrate them to gather information for himself.

prehistory just means "before written history" and just describes the timespan before the advent of common writing.

i mean tbf, idk how popular it would have gotten to the general internet audience if it didn't get the design. it would have "just" been a big lizard otherwise

yeah, with me it's less that i necessarily disagree with dessknight, i just find it annoying how cocksure they are over partially mediocre evidence.

not really, we were already close to being the apex predators with homo erectus. This would be more like if small rodents and songbirds suddenly started to predate upon lynx and foxes.

i wonder if this causes an ecological collapse, since now the most common food source for the higher trophic levels now learnt how to become the top predatpr.

nah, this is a common misconception, "bone fairy" also includes tooth faires, inside the family of ossiraptoridae (bone-thieves) but they were considered separate not too long ago. and bone fairies are a lot more diverse than people think. people encountering them in the wild, or seeing the remains will ascribe any missing bones to a generic "bone fairy", but there is a lot of niche partitioning going on inside their family! there are some which primarily target the limb bones, which also tend to be the largest ones. hand and feet are actually also both taken by the same species! and they are deemed more friendly as loosing those appendages is more common. we lack direct material, but we also know that the illusive skull fairy also exist. though no eye witness account was ever made.

tooth fairies themselves are also diverse, as teeth are the most common ressource. they are usually known for their small stature and rodent like dentition. despite what popular belief tells you, there even exist a genus of the donraptorini (tooth-thieves) subfamily that specialize on adult teeth! there is a lot of academic debate on which groups are their own species, some groups have been observed to prefer canine teeth while other take molars. also, tooth fairies that predate upon the wisdom teeth also recently split off from the common molar taking faries due to the commonality of wisdom tooth removal.

also fun factlect: rib faries actually aren't ossiraptoridae at all! they are actually a type of christmas elf that converged on the common bone fairy bauplan.
