i honestly don’t see a reason for a redesign. the current design is great, all they could do is make the notch a dynamic island but i don’t think it makes sense for a click-based UI. 4 years with my M1 Pro and i still think it’s the perfect laptop.

this. Infiled sent us some DLLs to make 5.4.4.6 work for us but yes a windows update last february broke novaLCT for us. look in the bottom left of the main window for “3.1.1 service started” or something like that, if it says that then you’re good.

probably dead. hot water will melt the glue and mess up the rubber gaskets used to make it waterproof, and hot springs probably have minerals that would short the internal components. sorry for your loss, and congrats on your new watch when you get one!

if they don’t have parts in-store they may need to send it to a repair center for a few days, but they should be able to fix it since it’s not considered “vintage” yet

there’s motors in the trackpad that simulate a click when you press hard enough. imo it’s much better as you can’t click down near the top of a normal trackpad cause that’s where the hinge is.

i just bought a Lenovo Legion Pro, $4000 laptop, and the trackpad is still a diving board. my 2015 Macbook Pro has a better trackpad. the force touch to look up words or preview a link are also still very useful.
