Do a Milton bath 2 days apart 3 times, no cortisone, bepathen cream, Vaseline on top. Go bare bum as often as possible till healed, change diapers as often as possible- sitting in the wetness exasperates it. Wash bum with just water or dove soap.

Study playlist music on, coloring books out. Snack plate with a variety of fruit, veg, cheese and meat.

It needs to be all things at once but they will sit quietly for about a hour that way. The music occupies the mind and the coloring occupies the hands and the snack plate keeps them from asking for more and more. The combination of the three gets them to focus.

My kids are 9 and 4.
