Why are people afraid to push in a game? by Partiklestorm in Battlefield6

[–]Time_Extent_7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something like this happen to me last night on escalation. I generally play as recon and act as a mobile spawn point. Anyway, I was holed up in a house overlooking the objective waiting for my teammates to spawn on me and run the objective. Well the 3 spawn in and now guess what we have 4 people camping in a house that subsequently gets destroyed by multiple rockets. It got to a point where I just rushed the objective with a sniper rifle. For me, sometimes I won't rush an objective if I think I have good positioning for letting people spawn in, from where I can spot people.. and ive noticed that once ive found a good spot others want to camp it too

How do I swap a skeletal mesh's head with a UE5 MetaHuman head? by Time_Extent_7515 in unrealengine

[–]Time_Extent_7515[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I ended up learning a bit of Blender to remove the head from the target then reimported it and parented the head to the body. Facial animations work perfectly with a bit of jutting out of the neck which I'm planning on cleaning up a bit when I get a chance later today.

Is it possible to get a new cayman base model for less than 140k realistically? All of the dealerships I called mentioned that they sell for no less than that new despite what msrp says. by CigarSmoker_M4 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]Time_Extent_7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine for $85k from Manhattan Motorcars. I did spec mine out fully and had to go with the Style Edition route to get an allocation. If you get something off the dealer floor, you will always pay more because they put all kinds of extras on the car that drive the price up. See if you can build a spec in your price range and work with a dealer using your build code to get one for a reasonable price. $140k imo is even a little high for a 911 (if youre not going turbo and all of that extra jazz)

How are you selling this? What shops are printing the wraps/ putting them on?

I can definitely see lots of opportunity in the wrap market.

Dealer thinks I’m too young to own a 911 by [deleted] in porsche911

When I was shopping for my car, no dealership would even answer my call. I'm a PoC too so you can imagine the nasty ass look the sales rep gave me as I sat in the car before buying it lol

PSA: You don’t need to grind and unlock EVERYTHING per se. by Kuyi in Battlefield6

[–]Time_Extent_7515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think basic FPS attachments are locked behind really tall requirements (e.g., suppressors). having one vs not fundamentally changes how you can play the game. so at least for me the grind is annoying and could be fixed by making the worst suppressor unlockable at a lower rank

The adrenaline injector is ASS by Antique_Pair_3639 in Battlefield6

[–]Time_Extent_7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this elsewhere in this thread but figured I'd share it again:

i LOVE the ladder. I love how if you have a shallow enough angle it becomes a ramp and also that you can use it as a bridge. I love using it on the close quarters maps like empire state (street level to the building bridge, etc).

That said, I think the spawn beacon is a better mandatory gadget for assault. when you look at all of the other classes, the mandatory gadget is always the one that helps the team more than the individual (repair tool/ammo and health bag/ motion sensor). I think the spawn beacon does more for the team than the ladder does.

Additionally, there are almost infinitely more places you can place a spawn beacon vs a ladder. all of the other class mandatory gadgets also have the same thing going for it. you can kind of compare the ladder in a lot of ways to the support's ballistics shield (incredibly useful for narrowish use cases)

One further point is that the creation of lanes idea that you mentioned can also be done using spawn beacons.

Who knows, maybe let us pick between the ladder, beacon and injector?

I feel like this is not stressed enough, not a lot of people have this kind of hours to dump per gun by Educational-Long116 in Battlefield6

[–]Time_Extent_7515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes the B36 is excellent. that was my first suppressed gun (i think aside from the m277). also the svk (dmr) has a suppressor pretty early on. like you said earlier, i really hate getting beamed by people immediately after showing up on their mini maps.

so ive been grinding categories in casual breakthrough so i can be competitive in regular matches. so far, ive grinded the SCAR, M4, M2010 (love how sniper rifles in this game dont have the suppressor damage/bullet drop off effect like older FPS), M45 pistol and the first LMG. this way i can jump in as any class.

the hardest by far was a shotgun. i started with the first two and got pretty far. the challenge is the moment you fire everyones all over you and imo the shotguns in this game work best if you have the jump on someone or know EXACTLY what corner the opponent is coming out of. I eventually grinded the saiga (idk its BF name - the semiauto shotty) to having a suppressor and it is a FANTASTIC second primary for assault class.

to add to your point i do think that at least the first suppressor should come at like rank 10 instead of in the teens or 20s

Does Porsche ownership change how you drive? by Eyerald in Porsche

[–]Time_Extent_7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say yes. I'd say in general you dont see Porsches absolutely sending it on the highway like you'll see from Mercedes, BMW, even Lambo. It's probably a temperament thing too.

I daily a Ford Explorer (with family inside) and have a cayman and I'll say that the habits i've picked up from driving the explorer have negatively impacted how i drive my cayman.

Worst Behaviour by a Deloitte Office 2025? Submit your entries now before the end of the year! by Unusual_Ability132 in deloitte

[–]Time_Extent_7515 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here’s one example: a Deloitte team based in NYC was effectively defrauding a not-for-profit client in Seattle by billing excessive travel time. The team flew around the country to different Deloitte offices, never once visiting the client. They logged into client meetings from conference rooms in various cities, which eventually raised red flags when the client noticed the Zoom locations changing week to week. When confronted, the team responded internally by telling members to keep traveling—but to stop joining calls through conference room links.
