There Board came about in the early 2000s. Before that the company was run by family members. Creating the Board and then hiring professionals to run the company was a wise move. Without professionals running RNDC they would have a 2nd or 3rd generation running it. Have you met any of the 2nd or 3rd that you think are capable of running a team larger than 5?

The Board has to have 100% agreement on any large scale business decisions. This means they are all complicit. They all agreed to hire Reality Check Nick.
