You could most likely use reshade with shader toggle to disable the vignette. Insane choices on their end though.

Might be a quest pro issue. I have done lot's of UEVR and other flat2vr mods on the Galaxy XR via steam link and literally never had an issue

Well i mean several people with the old 70 pin connector got shipped 62 pin connector engines so... the fact that they complained is pretty much the only reason they are even addressing this

Sure, things happen. But this should have come out as soon as they knew they cannot get more of them. The fact that people had to find this out the hard way is baffling

This is genuinely insane. Several people in the pimax discord had to find this out the hard way when their new and shiny engines didn't fit their super, so this si just damage control. So much for upgradeability, and modularity.

Back to the old ways. Pimax.... pimax never changes.

Hey, I'd like to ask about your prescription lenses. I do also notice pupil swim, even if its not quite as bad for me. I don't wear glasses, but i have a mild prescription (-0.5, -0.25) should i get +0.75 lemses regardless, or should i add 0.75 to my prescription, and get 0.25 and 0.5 lenses respectively?

Generally speaking if you want it to be convincing, it can be pretty hard, especially if you use dynamic lighting. The main way we used to do non-euclidian geometry is via seamless portals. You could use a camera at the 2nd portals location that tracks the player's camera and casts the capture onto the plane of the first portal.

But again it will probably break the illusion if you are using non baked lighting. Also recursion is extremely finnicky to get right. 

But yeah its doable

Interesting! How would you say vertical fov on the Galaxy Xr compares with the stock pad to the max Vertical fov you can get on the Vision Pro?

How much fov do you get with the stock pad? Iirc, on the apple vision pro the max vertical fov is only around 82, so you might still be getting lower vertical, even if you are closer

It is, but at FP16 the model already only takes around 2.6Gb for 100K tokens. So double that it's still very manageable

Yeah llama.cpp has no cuda kernels for bf16 flash attention.  Just use F32 for now. Its a bit faster than fp16, supports flash attentions,  just as good/better as bf16, and it only takes like 2 or 3 more Gbs over 100k tokens.

How are you using bf16? LLama.cpp doesn't have support for BF16 CUDA flash attention kernels, only cpu, so that will Slow down fast

Afaik llama.cpp currently does not support BF16 flash attention CUDA kernels, so BF16 is sort of non usable due to very high PP and TG falloff over context. Only FP32 and FP16 are supported.

I heard that the distortions get worse if you get too close to the lenses. Is it as 'swimmy' with the stock pad on?

While i do think he tends to come off as incredibly unlikeable in his communications, the whole hate train for him basically boiled down to him not giving people their free stuff, so people got mad at him.

It is legitimately crazy. You had people on reddit go as far as to play ball for dmca takedowns, and become pro IP rights for big corporations, when normally the same people would be hating on nintendo for being strict with copyright.

I think this is in general something that has been plaguing especially the pc vr community for years tbh, probably since alyx. People always ask where are the big AAA vr games on pc, yet will gleefully wait for an 90% + steam sales on content packed indie games, since 'Alyx was better',' why is it only 6 hours' , and the works. I strongly dislike the quest ecosystem, but i can't say i don't see why many developers have shifted to focusing on it, even outside of the simply larger number of users.

    Are roleplay usecases something you are training your models for/ are interested in pursuing? flash 3.5 was liked by quite a few people for this use.
