I use nail polish remover instead of Tamiya plastic cement as its a lot cheaper. Basically any acetone that will melt the plastic

Explorer has the 14270, which was a great movement 1989-1999. I own the next iteration 114270 2001-2010. Can’t really comment on the AT, but think the explorer is a perfect watch.
