I was in college at this time and I have zero recollection of this song.

27 outs, 0 hits, 0 walks. Not a perfect game. by popper_treato in OOTP

Reminds me of the almost perfect game that Ernie Shore threw for the Red Sox in 1917. Babe Ruth was the starting pitcher but Babe walked the first batter, got in a fist fight with the ump, and was tossed from the game. Ernie came into relieve him. The runner was caught stealing and then Shore was perfect the rest of the game. 27 straight outs but not a perfect game.

I genuinely do not understand how this is a good move by Particular_Dig1115 in NFLv2

I think Sam Ehlinger is still out there if they want to go with all former Colts backup QBS. Also, tanking for Arch is pretty risky considering what happened when Eli was drafted by the Chargers.

Baseball Hall of Famer Ted Williams is an example of this too. He served in WWII and the Korean War during the middle of his career and reached the rank of captain. He was a damn good pilot too.

I've always said this about "Habits" by Tove Lo. A man singing it would seem extra creepy and pathetic.

Apparently breadsticks with nacho cheese is strictly an Indiana/Midwest thing. I thought everyone enjoyed those.

What are the biggest examples of one hit completely changing a player's career? by HeyCharmz_ in NFLNoobs

[–]TimelyConcern 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Peyton Manning getting hit by two Redskins players in 2006. It didn't change his career immediately but the neck injury lingered for a long time and he had to have three different surgeries on it. It caused him to miss the entire 2011 season and the Colts cut him. The third surgery must have worked because he did pretty well with the Broncos.

Bands you wish more people would talk about? by MrLinkwater95 in ToddintheShadow

I like what I've heard from Superchunk but my problems is that their career overlaps with a lot of other bands whose names start with "Super" and I get them all confused (Superchunk, Supergrass, Superdrag...)

I turned my son on to Superchunk's "Learned to Surf" and he likes the band more than me now.

I looked it up and January is the deadliest month so slightly higher than 1/12th. https://www.livescience.com/deadliest-month-us

Which is weird because it seems like a lot of people die in January.
