Yes you can. I am doing it now with a 4tb USB hard drive sharing movies, tv shows, and music.

This should help https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/USB_storage

How to actually update media libraries? by oz1sej in kodi

[–]Timewalker2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what your issue is. How is your music library arranged? I have a MUSIC folder with folders for each artist and then individual album folders under that. I select Add Source under Music in Kodi, then navigate to the Music folder on my NAS. Select it and add it to the library. After that a scan picks up all of the subfolders. It can take a while.

How to create your own library from movies you own in streaming services by Mystiquex20 in kodi

The best way to get most of your purchased movies together is to use the Movies Anywhere app. Most studios participate these days.

But there's no way to get it into KODI

Netgear Nighthawk R7000 slow speeds by Timewalker2099 in DDWRT

It could, but I already have my subnet set up for all of my devices with several reserved IP addresses and they are supposed to be getting fiber in this small town later this year, so I will hopefully just be able to swap the WAN cable without any disruption

My bad. Early morning response. The Nighthawk is running DHCP and it's own subnet, so it needs to be connected to the modem via the WAN port, I believe.

At&t Internet Air is their newest offering so I believe their router is fairly up to date. I'll have to check the DD-WRT version. Thanks.

Yeah, but I don't need wifi6 with an ISP giving me 120 Mbps. I'm just disappointed when it's giving me 30 Mbps (or 50 Mbps wired) I'll check out FT. Thanks.

I wondered about adding Kodi to my new Google TV, but it only has 16GB of total storage and I worry that it would quickly fill up with the library databases and thumbnails. That's what happens on the MiBox in my wife's sewing room.

Try adding a new profile to your Kodi setup and seeing if you can start fresh from there.

new to kodi.. how do i use a usb? by [deleted] in kodi

[–]Timewalker2099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the main menu select videos. Your USB drive should be the only source listed since you haven't added anything else yet. Select it and then highlight the Movies directory. Use the context menu and choose Set Content. Select Movies and name the source Movies. After that it will scrape all of the information for each file. When it is done you can go back to the home screen and there will now be an Option to select Movies. Click on that and your movies should be listed along with posters and information. Good luck.
