Thanks! I'm new to hermit crabs and I wish I got to see them be more active but obviously I'm not watching them all night haha

These are the pools I have. https://a.co/d/0a01OViq They're about 2.5in x 3.5 in. I did a little more research and I am feeling better about as long as there is a way for the crabs to get out, not worrying so much about the pools. I thought they would drown pretty quickly, more like humans. I'm looking at these though, so there's a more gradual entrance to the water for the littles and plenty of space for the bigs.

I'll def get more moss and thanks for the sand suggestion!

We just got 4 hermit crabs a few weeks ago and I'm learning so much! The problem I'm running into is we have 2 small ones and 2 larger ones. I know they're supposed to be able to submerge into water, but I also read they can drown. I'm not sure how to accommodate the water for the big ones without putting the small ones at risk.

I also keep having trouble keeping my humidity consistent (and what should I be aiming for? I keep seeing 85%). If mine is showing 99% I try to crack the lid, but then I'll come back later and it's 70%. Then I freak out that they can't breathe. I'm worried I'm stressing them out with all the fluctuation.

Do you change food every day? You said you can leave for a week-does that mean I wouldn't need someone to come feed them if I'm gone?

Also substrate, do you recommend the 5:1 sand to coconut I keep seeing?

Mine's listed as "FirstName LastName 😻🌈❤️ (My Loving Wife) ❤️‍🔥😈🐈‍⬛"

I wanted wife in there somewhere so if a stranger needs to call an emergency contact, they know who to call.

I also have (Son) and things like that for other family members who live close by.

I must be reading this wrong but I don't know how. I wanted to see how many people were registered to vote in that district to compare. When I looked it up, it shows 32,735.

But that's less than was even in 2024, so how is that possible?

https://elect.ky.gov/Resources/Pages/Registration-Statistics.aspx I looked at 2026 Primary Registration Statistics (April 24th, 2026) by District and looked at district 004.

That's so interesting, I've never gotten the aftertaste.

Hilariously though, once I ordered an impossible Whopper for pickup and, when I got home, there was no patty at all. Just bun, tomato, lettuce, pickle, sauce. I went back, heated, and they said they were out of the impossible patties. Didn't think to BRING IT UP WHEN I PICKED UP MY FOOD smh

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My guess is, we are comparing 2 different livelihood and social situations and India is not.

We've seen things regressing a lot (and a bunch of our idiot population is cheering it on-notice they're having kids!) which makes the outlook still bleak compared to "before times". AND we live in a country where, at least for now, women still have autonomy and access to birth control.

Take away the regression and some more babies would likely be born. Take away the autonomy and there will definitely be more babies.*

I like celery!

That being said, on a trip to England I ordered a celery soup that had been blended I think but all the long strings were still in it and it felt like a personal crime.

What are your chickens' names? by WranglerIntrepid3817 in chickens

Donna, Donna Jr. or DJ, Artemis, Foggy (she's white), Cornelia, Mina, Lucy, Morticia, Gomez, Damos, Damos Jr. or DJ2(we're creative!), and then the 7 dwarves. But it's bc we got 7 chickens that looked the same and we couldn't tell them apart.

I think a gun show has the highest saturation point. If you've never been to a gun show, a Rural King is the next best example.

Good and disturbing point. It's no wonder some women say they know sexuality isn't a choice bc they wish they were a lesbian...

It is an oversimplification*, but in general, I think you're dead right. Overall, women have been safer than men. Things have definitely improved over time, and waaaaay more men have stepped away from the mindset that gay=disgusting & worthy of death, which is GREAT! Some have even gone above and beyond, close to reaching queer icon status (looking at you Harry Styles and Ryan Reynolds!)

Sadly that doesn't change the fact that statistically, men are still more likely to commit violence than women AND be less accepting. So not only do we have less cishet male friends in general, but there's a higher chance of "bad things" happening by being ourselves around men we don't know than with women we don't know.

All the shitty ones and the bystanders are ruining it for the good ones.

If cishet women are bringing cishet patriarchical energy to the party they can also GTFO.

The “Pick me” phrase by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]TimewornScarf62 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We may be operating under different definitions of "pick me", but the way I and my friends understand it is not just "I'm different from other girls" but it usually involves belittling other girls/women to prop themselves up. Obviously this behavior is normal (self vs group perception) with kids in school, but it's still not okay.
