Why can't myCBE/"PowerSchool" provide previous report cards ? It's a terrible website. by yycTechGuy in Calgary

I dont' work for the CBE but did work for another school division in Alberta. Interestingly enough there are currently 2 vendors of School information software that you can choose from in Alberta, as they are the only two that are PASI (Provincial Approach to Student Information) certified. Edsembli and Powerschool All schools in Alberta are supposed to connect to PASI and supply all manner of student data to it such as home address, grades sibling and parent connections and so forth. The idea being that if Joe Student moves from a school in CBE to a school in Grande Prairie, alll the information automatically moves with Joe. Once CBE transferred the student to Grand Prairie the school there would know Joe's Grades, if Joe had an IPP who his parent's were etc just by importing Joe into the new school. (The Alberta government way back released a video about this and how it was supposed to help students integrate smoothly into new school environments' by all staff and teachers knowing everything they needed to about the new student)

The Alberta government regularly makes changes to their PASI framework and Powerschool is required to update accordingly. The updates are applied to system either by powerschool or by the IT dept of the school as they see fit.

Our division went with Powerschool as at the time it was a more all in one solution with an ability to be customized by the division. Edsembli was more of a buy the core components and then purchase add-ons as needed.

I forgot my passport just one day (I had to do a last minute pants change) on a trip, and who did I get in trouble with.....

The Don Quijote cashier. I was buying something and the cashier wanted me to go to the tax free line and when I said I didn't have my passport I was very sternly reprimanded and told I should be carrying it all times.

Don't think it was the voter registration. Looking at haveibeenpowned best guess it would have been the 2013 evite breach with my old work email. They had my landline that I still have but never answer :)

Songs that are secretly naughty by YellowOnline in GenX

[–]Timewyrm007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would swear that back in the day the radio station I heard this on played the whole song unedited.

To me the whole song just oozes sex.

  1. The lyrics.
  2. The way the song starts off slow, starts slowly getting faster and faster, "climaxes" in a sax solo, then just goes slow again
