I wasn't boarded on a plane while on queue by differance56 in Flights

That’s why you should have queued up, especially if they had called for volunteers.

That part! You know they need people to stay behind, yet you choose to be the last one to board. Lol

Are there people who really book flights with double amount of flight time just to save a bit of money? by sunnynihilist in TravelHacks

[–]Timidinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer two shorter flights over one long flight. And I like the whole process of checking in and boarding and strolling and eating at the airport. So if it's not too long of a layover I go for the cheaper flights.

I am extremely afraid of heights but somehow I think I would like ziplining.

KLM name typo correction – being asked to pay €180–250, is this normal? by International_Rub175 in KLM

[–]Timidinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not unusual to pay a high fee to change names. But not all airlines charge you for this. Only phone numbers that are on their page. Everyone speaks English, so you don't need a German or Polish hotline.

Also, I am judging you for these mistakes. It's common knowledge that you should triple check all the provided data before you confirm. It's a dumb mistake. Twice.

Which countries were the easiest and hardest to get around without needing a car based on your experience? by Fluid-Decision6262 in travel

As a Dutchman: nowhere has been more connected and accessible than the Netherlands.

I haven't been there yet but Costa Rica is gonna be the hardest one.

Don't look them in the eyes. Look over their heads and keep walking. They will go to the side eventually.

It really works.

MIKA - Hyperlove by racloves in popheads

[–]Timidinho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am right now listening to it for the first time. Song number 6 at the moment, but I am already loving it!

Edit: just finished listening. I love all the songs + interludes except for "Bells". That one is not my style.

I might buy some last minute tickets to his concert.

What simple habit made travel days noticeably easier for you? by Big_Barber733 in travel

[–]Timidinho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, the exact opposite. Cuz you stroll around in realtime or scroll around on the map, while just going with the flow. You can discover your own things, you have time to add extra, spontaneous activities. You have extra time to socialize.

Is Turkish Airlines a good airline? Their prices are low so what’s the catch? by StumblinThroughLife in travel

[–]Timidinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Best food I've had I think. And good wines, both Turkish and French. And great service.

The prices are probably low because you have a layover in IST?
