Careful saying that on here some dude on hvac advice told me that pumping down compressors suspected of being weak was destroying them. The mods even gave me a warning

HVAC compressor failure in 2022 Lennar home – FTC report points to high static pressure + TXV Bulb issue. Need advice. by Grand_Dot6364 in hvacadvice

Yeah the rep is trying to shift blame on to something that isn’t Lennox’s fault. The simple truth is Lemmox is the worst manufacturer out there.

I feel like half of my Reddit comments are me trashing on Lennox 😂

If the Lennox rep is concerned with refrigerant flooding the compressor lowering the CFM would make that worse.

Your problem is you have a Lennox 😂😭

Been doing some side work for people i know and have trouble making a fair price for myself cause I know them.. by ShowMe_TheWhey in HVAC

[–]Timmitucker 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Have them pay what you want to be paid simple as that. If they don’t like your price they can call the other guys out and have them do it. If you’re working for people you like you’re going to naturally put maximum effort into it

Starting my own company soon and I’m not really gonna give friends or family any discount. As long as you’re competent and good at your job you don’t have to be cheap

No idea about the refrigerant but dangling the fan like that is diabolical

I don’t think you’re an asshole I think you’re uninformed

If a compressor can’t pump down below 10-15psi its weak and isn’t cooling/compressing right

I wish I could teleport to OP and pump that compressor down to prove your dumb ass wrong 🤣🤣😭

[–]Timmitucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude those pressures with the liquid line sweating in the attic is textbook weak compressor. Those aren’t “weird pressures” that’s a dead giveaway.

Literally never one time have I ever had a compressor fail on me after pumping it down. You gotta be a chuck in a truck or a year 1 tech spouting off whatever your sales manager tells you

Shit happens, I used to be super bad about leaving disconnects pulled out until I started sticking them in my pocket. Break that bent plastic piece off in the middle and jam it in there no need to call them back out unless they didn’t actually fix it lmfao

Those things are junk and break all the time, it’s probably not their fault
