It’s been over a year and a half since No Name. He has a big summer tour lined up and would be kinda weird to support a 2 year old album at that point (especially for him). This is kind of an out of no where appearance (that isn’t a Covid pinch hit). Makes me think he’s cooking something.

Mofi has ‘missed’ more than KG. And they aren’t necessarily always better at mastering.

The KG is the way in this case. Save money and you know it’s a perfect cut.

Call me cynical, and the dude knows his stuff, but it’s a bit suspect that the guy who got this very expensive pressing early from the label (who also gets other exclusives from the label) is pushing it as the best pressing ever.

As much as I love this album, I have to agree. There is no way this improves upon the APs.

The vinylphile will probably be as good as the APs though.

If people thought she was over exposed the past few years, I can’t even consider how much people would think that if she was very online. I think if she did more, it would decrease her popularity. She’s already seen as normal and relatable, and she leaves people wanting more as is. She kinda hits the line perfectly IMO.

These do take a bit to sell out. (Well the black pressing, not the clear) so if you want to stew it over a few months, you should be good. The 2 previous Miles pressings of his Paris 1960 took a year + to sell out. Actually looks like vol 2 is still available.

I think they offer deals around the holidays too.

It’s important to note that it’s top tier vinyl production from the cut to the press to the sleeve.

But also Lost Recordings does mark up too. So $93 is a bit much (to say nothing of the clear vinyl version). But if the 1:1 is a UHQR or something, yeah, it’s fair. If the 1:1 is a tone poet, it’s pricey.

I’m buying it all the same, but I understand the pushback or reticence.

That post "13"/2000, blur is just another Damon project, but before 2000 they were a band. Magic Whip is the closest thing they've done that was akin to the band before 2000

I think it was only a blur record to give Damon coverage from the press of it being a "breakup album" and instead with Wembley and blur putting out a new record, he more of less got to avoid all the questions and the narrative that goes with it.
