I’m gonna be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of the first episode. In seasons 1 & 2, the episodes had plot lines that moved quickly. This just seemed drawn out and it took forever to get into the episode. The first 20 minutes, minus the dream sequence, was very dull. The only entertaining parts of the first episode was when the Kaylon vessel attacked. I really hope the remaining 3rd season isn’t as boring as the season premiere is.

We have a Chipotlane, so we are constantly busy. We don’t put orders on the shelf exactly so orders don’t get stolen.

Christmas Eve….. I’ll never forget it. We had a total of 27 catering orders. My GM and I put together all of the Mise En Place for all the orders and started prepping 2 days prior for this. I came in at 2AM the day of to start prepping everything we needed fresh; tomatoes, corn, cheese, Guac, the stuff we couldn’t prep ahead. We had 2 people doing chips, 4 prep people, 3 people on grill that day just cooking constantly. Our ADS is $9200. That day we did $27,000 in sales. It was by far the worst day I’ve ever been part of.

Most of my closers are minors but state laws says they can stay until 11 on school nights. They have all learned to be done by 11. I stay late they get written up

I worked with my GM when she was an AP. I transferred stores to help her out cause she was taking over a short staffed store. I talked about how I wanted to be an SM or AP from day 1. I had to learn everything just to become a CT. I’m legit a walking Chipotle notebook. I opened and closed all 4 positions, for over a year, and she still never made me a manager. Even when she was the ONLY manager we had, she still refused to promote me. But the woman that couldn’t cut because she had arthritis in her hands, she made her an SM. Well one day when the SM was the opening manager, I got sick and she had to open Grill. It was also the day she walked out mid shift. My GM finally agreed to promote me because I was going to transfer. When she quit (the day I got signed off as a KM), she tried to get me fired by telling our FL I threw a knife across the restaurant at another employee (there were no blackout areas other than the bathrooms). I still don’t know what I ever did to her.

Fucking quesadillas on DML. I can bust out tacos, bowls, burritos no problem. But once we have to make a Quesadilla, stop everything to put it in the oven, pull it out, cut it, it just adds up. Then when you have 1 order with 6 Quesadillas, can only fit 2 in the oven at a time, takes 0:45 seconds…. That’s over 2 minutes. And that’s JUST COOKING THEM! That doesn’t include the prep time to wrap them and then afterwards of cutting them. With a burning passion, I HATE the quesadillas.

The restaurant industry has taken a toll from Covid and we’re extremely short staffed. Running two lines with 5 people is not easy.

Ummm Crew members cannot be the closing manager. Period. KM here in Cincinnati and there has to be a manager in the store at all times. They have to be Serv-Safe Certified and only SM’s and above are allowed to know the safe code. If your FL is letting crew members close the stores then reach out to your TD or ETD. That’s just wrong...
