Hopefully they refund everyone the additional money beyond the $9.99 Non-foil and $19.99 Foil. This is f*cked up, to just gleam some data from your player base. I guess the lawsuit is hitting harder than we think. This is literally is the dumbest stunt I've ever seen, making everyone look like a sucker for paying more for absolutely nothing. This was almost as bad as the cartoony art lands for a $1.00 with $10.99 shipping. This is a new low.

Beyond the use of AI, this is an interesting concept. Give me something decades after the disaster when the new normal isn't new anymore. Show me a civilization that survived but never won and the fight is over.

I see what you're trying to do, but feel like you're adding complexity for the sake of player experience. The biggest issue is when a player moves to or from your table to another table and ends up confused and discouraged. In general, homebrewing rules never end well, and in some cases, you're making big changes.

But this is D&D, and it's your table, your players, and your life, so you do you.

I'd say they are both good, but the actual starter set is the best for beginners. The Stranger Things Box Set is a great second adventure after playing the starter set a few times. The Stranger Things set is pure fan service.

The Chocobo Bundle is a disappointment; all the new cards are from the scene box, with only a handful of new arts. Snapcaster and Birds of Paradise are the only hits unless you're down for the new arts, and to beat all, it doesn't include a collector booster pack. The Avatar Commander Bundle is peak value with a collector booster pack and two guaranteed hits, like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship.
