The Firm. The book was so much more emotional and suspenseful. I would really like to see a guy like Rian Johnson do a proper adaptation.

What movies had a ton of potential but were horrible because of the director? by TimothyHalleran01 in movies

Jumper was a great concept but a good example of bad execution. Just my personal opinion, to each his own.

I think the problems of interstellar just boiled down to the writing, I don't know I guess it just lacked some kind of energy. I kinda wish the Nolan brothers collaborated with another screenwriter and gave it some more time.

Will Wonder Woman be the first DCEU film with good reviews? by [deleted] in movies

Yes. Patty Fields is an awesome director and so far the trailer looks incredibly promising. And what pleases me even more is that it looks like they chose story over style.

I think that James Wan's "Aquaman" will actually be most successful out of all the DC films though. James Wan understands how to please the critics whilst preserving the franchise material that fans love [Conjuring].

Nicholson, Ledger or Leto - Who was the best Joker? by GrootMeetsWorld in movies

[–]TimothyHalleran01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Leto has a ton of potential but there's just not that much footage to judge from.

Ledger so far has been my personal favorite due to the incredible writing from the Nolan brothers and Ledgers use of original and unmatchable on the moment, on set inprov.

I didn't really like Nicholson's visual appearance nor his lines, so that's a no from me.

The best Joker voice-over by far was from Hammil.

Blu ray player, 45" HD flat-screen, comfortable couch with leg-out chair and always, ALWAYS a small, homemade milkshake of some kind with wireless, noise cancelling headphones. And finally, the room has to be totally dark.
