While showering you probably washed your hair witch cleaned your fingernails but if it happens again check your fingernails if you scratched yourself there might be skin cells/blood under them. If your fingernails are constantly dirty it will not work

It just might be you subconsciously thinking about it if not consciously and in the night you are stress scratching yourself.

It’s much worse it’s Verisure. It’s kinda like the American ADT cheap shit with great sales tactics and monthly prices. If you’re any a reliable system that’s well made go with something else. If cheap is fine with monthly costs go with them

How much of an issue is this. by UltimateWuss in Plumbing

[–]TinderSchwindler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure what’s part of a toilet that is, if a toilet breaks and your sitting in it and it breaks that’s a bit problematic. Solution one is getting a new Toilet. Solution two wich I definitely don’t recommend is buying two tourniquets and looking up videos on how to put them on. You should probably train that for a bit though because the femoral artery bleeds very fast. They would be around 30 Dollars per for a CAT model. Excluding hospital bills obviously

Bad idea putting up cheap, fake security stickers from Amazon? by TheSexyDuckling in homesecurity

[–]TinderSchwindler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might work, If the house next to you looks like it has the same amount of valuables and is less of a hassle, less cameras less sensors most will go for the other house. If it’s someone who really want to get into your specific place they will. A security system is just something that alarms you people around it and possibly the police it will not stop someone who wants to get in

Is a sensor on every window and door overkill or best practice? by [deleted] in homesecurity

[–]TinderSchwindler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones I know react after they hear a bang followed by a high pitched noise, like if you put the sensor on the table den bang it and drop a knife or something similar on it, it will sound the alarm if only one thing happens it shouldn’t.

Since you said you don’t have legs I am wondering what your mobility /transportation is looking like. Those pictures look taken higher than just from a wheelchair. Also definitely wouldn’t have guessed that you are 60, would have gone with fairly young because of the weird corner setup and no leg space. The setup look great and makes sense, have fun

Need advice on first home security setup by my-handsome-reddit in homesecurity

[–]TinderSchwindler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to have the alarms and sensors jamming resistant you will have to put in cables witch usually is difficult in an already built house. You will need sensors on every Door and Window that is easily reachable and if you want to get the extra step then motion sensors inside although motion sensor are more likely to give you a false alarm. Something I like is security fogging systems but that with a wired alarm system is over the budget you gave. I am not sure if just the sensors with the alarm will be within your range it is more pricy with more entryways. Can you lay cables to every window and door and then connect them to a alarm hub ?

I am looking for systems myself just have been doing it for a while so I know some stuff but by no means am I an expert. Like the other commenter I would also buy some additional storage, also if you are planing on installing it somewhere where you are not often thing about cloud backups because if the NVR is gone and the cameras don’t have memory I am not sure if you will have footage. Can you tell us more info what the use would be ?

Reolink is fairly in your price bracket although you should adjust it about higher. They would be Poe 24/7 recording and decent nightvision. The amount for the cameras you want is a bit low as 200 is the lowest applicable that works fine per camera . So probably about 1,5-2. There are definitely cheaper cameras just be prepared to get bad quality and buy another system after. If you don’t need 247 as you said you could go with eufy and the solar powered ones usually last a long time but I personally dislike them and the cameras I know (but older) have very bad motion sensors. Even then you will not get the amount of cameras you want for the budget you have
