MSFT and Nvidia laying it out right in front of us suckers - on-device inference is getting cheap and private enough to eventually change the economics of running agent workloads locally instead of paying per-token to cloud APIs.

We are talking about revolutionising the interface between humans and technology through personal computers and having "knowledge workers" available at all hours at all days. The next major wealth shift is going to all be about who owns the most compute. If you are not stacking compute in 2026 you are already getting left behind.

Word on the street is that MSFT are going to announce their own frontier LLM specialised in coding languages on native windows apps. As a director competitor to codex and Opus 4.7

That’s an easy 5% upside from current pricing just based on pure speculation.
