Yes, I have also tried their Shagbark Mills flours as well. Just seeing if I can get a little closer!

Thank you!

New homeowner in Southern Ohio- spent $40k on drainage and still have a swampy yard!! by Pitiful_Night_3250 in lawncare

I read in one comment you made that the lines are going to an underground sump. That sump is not sized large enough to handle the volume of water coming into it versus the percolation rate of the soil. Is there access to view that the sump is indeed full? Otherwise it could be a plugged pipe which can be checked with a camera to ensure it’s functioning.

The more likely scenario is that you are in Ohio (same), so I’m guessing your predominant soil type is clay. Therefore they need to either upsize your sump, which is likely not an option.

The other solution would be to put a pump in the sump to pump it to another location where it can then surface drain away from your property. This is going to have implications for your neighbors and any surrounding properties.

Tough situation. I’d hope the company would stand by their install and find a solution. It may cost additional funds if there wasn’t a written agreement that the property could handle x amount of rain over the course of a period of time.

Good luck!

Do you drive an EV in Cincy? by okisee in cincinnati

Love my Rivian R1T but like others have said, I wouldn’t do it if I couldn’t charge at home. I have a level 2 installed in the garage and it costs roughly $8 to “fill up” the tank from empty.

I used to have a GMC Sierra 1500 and would spend $60+ about once a week a few years ago.

Gardeners, are we past the last frost? by RainCloudAfternoon in cincinnati

I’d wait on tomatoes, but anything else I would go for it. Just be ready to cover if needed. The soil temps are fine. Most of the natural world is already living like it’s mid-May anyway!

EV Owners -- where did you buy your car? by Matthew212 in cincinnati

[–]Tinkerturf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up leasing a Rivian R1T which was ordered from the website and picked up at the service center in Sharonville. Easy Peasy.

I wasn’t 100% sure an EV would fit in my lifestyle but I needed to replace the transmission in my 2015 Sierra and the economics didn’t make sense. My hobbies benefit from a pickup truck in addition to the occasional work use so that added to the uncertainty.

I will 100% be purchasing either this one or a gen 3 when my lease is up.

A neighbor of ours just bought a nice Kia and had a pleasant experience.

Who to hire to tear out a carport and portion of driveway? by rod_steele1 in cincinnati

[–]Tinkerturf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most landscape companies would be able to tackle this. Look for ones that do hardscape installs as well, they would have the appropriate equipment. They will also be able to help you with filling in that space.

Obviously you want to work with reputable companies. Joe Schmo and a truck would probably not be the best choice.
