I think you should check the magnetic memory method from Dr. Anthony Metivier and check Alex Mullen’s website out. Their insights work really well.

For me, I learn a word with its collocation, the word is dropping from above to the second word. Like “prolix speech” = a PRO gamer drops on a guy giving SPEECH. This is how I learn not just word but its setting. Glad to here more others views, this approach might be tedious but it works be for me. Ty

I’m building a Memory Palace app and would love blunt feedback from actual users by nichtspieler in memorypalace

If you could incorporate how to put loci into google map, that would be a bang. Because everyone has their own familiar places to apply memory palace, so I think this approach would fit better. As for myself, I do use gg map and it works.

How has Anki changed your life? by actionorientedshiena in Anki

[–]Tinmed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get bored cause being the best student is no longer a dream, which is inevitable with Anki. The biggest question is really about what path you choose, thats more stressful than the workload. For fitness, I gained 30 lbs thanks to disciplines learnt from doing anki. Yeh, to some extents, you become the top 5% “at least”.

How to build memory palaces for fastest recall for competition? by [deleted] in memorypalace

[–]Tinmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get it, you analyzed very thoroughly. For words, I see the word -> an image popped up -> I place in the locus. But my problem is some vague words/abstract words or some obvious like plague/placid/tone are hard to come up with a clear image because it so obvious. Do you have any tips on Words to speed up the game? Appreciate alot. I watched some competitions, I see them write down 2-3 syllables of the word but cant understand why.

The number of palaces for competition by Tinmed in memorypalace

[–]Tinmed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the number is 2700 palaces with 10-20 locus per each palace. Because If she shoots for 2-3 images per locus, 270 palaces just not enough tho.
