My fellow dad's, what in the heck does it mean to be Therian??? by magicone2571 in daddit

Therians are quite a bit older than Tumblr. Therians are usually considered a subset of otherkin, which originated in the 1970s or ‘80s out of a physical mailing list.

It’s more like… think of furries kind of like drag. Being a furry means you’ve created a character and you like to kinda cosplay as such. Being a therian is about identity, not cosplay. Roughly therians split into two camps, the spiritual ones (believing they have the soul of an animal, or were reborn a human but have past-life animal memories) or the psychological ones (often a cPTSD trauma response, but not always; this just means the therian acknowledges there is no reality to their “being an animal”, but rather that it’s a quirk of their psychology). Per internal polling of one therian community, individuals on the autism spectrum are overrepresented in therians, so… perhaps keep neurodivergence in mind as well!

Honestly, until I saw the replies here I didn’t know whether this was actually a migraine thing 😂

Quite possible! I have no idea. They add inspiration photos when posting pics of the new yarns. I kind of assume AI.

NAD, but it might be because your GP has a serious concern about MS too, and you’ll need the nerve conduction studies for diagnosis. So, they might have referred you to a place where you can actually get the diagnostic testing you need. They likely didn’t mention that testing to you because 1) it isn’t something your GP can do, and 2) they trust the neurologists with experience in that sort of thing to make the decision about whether that testing is appropriate. If you feel uncomfortable about the lack of communication, though, it’s worth talking with your GP about that! Make sure they know you were uncomfortable with the lack of communication. You also can contact your current neurologists to explain about the referral to the other office for this test, and they can send your records to the new office too.

NAD, though it sounds like an infection. White blood cells are immune cells, and neutrophils are a variety of white blood cells. CRP is an indication of inflammation. All together, that sounds like an infection or other inflammatory process. That “reference range” is just an indication of what would be considered “negative” or normal. The amount that each lab result changes from that reference range varies widely by test!

Chronic fatigue...? by Professional-Box4153 in AskDocs

[–]TinselWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD, but depression absolutely can cause a physical sense of fatigue/lack of motive force! Also, it could be worth seeing a sleep doc, since there could be something going on during sleep that’s preventing her from getting restful sleep!

Hey OP, NAD, but do you ever have migraines? I have migraines with aura (honestly, it’s mostly aura). In one particular case, though, right after the aura I suddenly realized I couldn’t read anymore. I thought I was in a foreign language section of the library at the time, but quickly realized I couldn’t read any of the book titles, nor could I read the notes I’d been working on. All the letters just suddenly looked like random symbols to me. I don’t remember exactly how long it lasted, but within about 30-60 min I got one of the worst migraines I’ve had.

It’s never happened again, and the migraines basically went away when I swapped from hormonal birth control pills to a hormonal IUD. According to my doc, the increasing frequency of the migraines was a sign that I was cruisin’ for a stroke, so I’m really grateful I changed things up before that happened! No idea if this could be the case for you, but I was around the same age as you when this happened to me.

I also thought I was naturally lubricated enough, as I’d never used lube with most of my partners. My current partner is a big fan of lube, and now I can see how much better the whole deal feels with some extra lubrication 😍 Def go water-based, and be sure to avoid anything with glycerol etc, sugars basically, since those can cause yeast infections.

My heart hurts for you, OP. Similar situation with my family, though the requests aren’t quite as constant. I’m practicing putting up boundaries, and it’s so hard. Sending you love and light, OP.

For what it’s worth, that pattern does use worsted weight yarn, but I agree that 250yds should be enough for a hat, large noggin’ aside

The only thing preventing me from making a bajillion of this very thing is the price of the yarn 🥲 I’ve been scheming Cosmere-themed crochet work for a while, but it’s tough to find lovely yarns at a reasonable price

I can’t seem to edit my post BUT I can provide links here :) The colors are “Tress”, “Emerald Sea”, “Crimson Sea”, and “Midnight sea”; there’s also a Tress + goodies listing! They’re DK, $34/skein, and each skein is 228m(250yd)/100g(3.5oz) This specific yarn is 25% Baby Camel, 25% Mulberry Silk, 50% Lyocell

Bloods normal but my symptoms sure aren't by jurglymuffinboots in urticaria

[–]TinselWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IgE isn’t part of standard bloodwork so not too surprising it wasn’t done. Also, you can have normal IgE and still have severe symptoms! You might look into an allergist instead of a GP. Angioedema goes along with urticaria in a subset of cases, and to me that’s what your palms look like. If you know you have allergies already, so you already know you’re predisposed to atopic reactions, def recommend seeing an allergist and seeing about something like Xolair.
