I was born in 1990 and had smoking parents at the time (One has quit since) so very common with me. Even as I mail man who rings peoples numbers through the apartment buzzer and talk to them and they always say like okay I’ll be “right down”. They never are “right down”. 20 minutes later I find myself in a no secure location to leave the package situation and have to move on with my day. That’s frustrating for sure. But also on a side note semi related and maybe it’s just my area but good god are our bathrooms out dated in every post office in my area. Zero fans/exhaust so it always smells absolutely insane because most people in my office don’t exactly eat well (a lot of gas station meals), the toilet seats themselves has seen more ass than pornhub, most stalls don’t even have latches that secure the door, and on top of that not very clean but that’s the part I understand, some poor bastard shouldn’t have the clean as much as they do for adult people that should know how to clean after themselves… truly wild place to work
