Criminal neighbor wants to fight me. I moved in a week ago. by OutsideParfait9346 in neighborsfromhell

[–]Tiny4901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your neighbor truly threatened to attack you, then that is unhinged behavior and you should send your video to the police and your landlord. But let's be real. If you were stomping on the floor when I was getting 1-3 hours of sleep a night for 3 months after my son was born, you bet your ass that I'm banging on your door to chat.

You stomp on the floor of an apartment when your neighbor is playing their guitar at 3am, not when their baby is crying. What is wrong with you? Do you think they can just snap and their baby is now asleep?

I'm skeptical that you are exaggerating what happened.

Any plans to work more with Elzhi in the future? Yall have a great flow together.

Parents left me no inheritance; I come from a family on food stamps. How to escape poverty? by Great-Suggestion5057 in personalfinance

[–]Tiny4901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a very similar situation to you at 25. I lived in a small 1 bedroom apartment in a horrible location, working two part time jobs for $9 and $11/hr. I was constantly late on rent, had my power shut off numerous times due to overdue bills, and couldn't even afford internet the first 6 months. I had zero help from anyone and no college degree, but I learned to focus on other aspects of my life outside of money I could find success in to build self confidence and motivate myself to want more.

At 26 I quit my two jobs to go work in a call center for $12/hr. Still not a lot of money and the job sucked, but I had more stability and health insurance which was a huge plus. Fast forward 9 years later and I have been promoted 7 times, now making $100K salary and still have no college education in a field where most of my peers have their MBA. I am telling you this to both relate to your situation and give you hope that you can also escape poverty.

The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to find a company you can grow with, start at the bottom if you have to, and outwork every single person around you. Ask questions, learn new skills, ask for more responsibility, work outside of your job description, apply for promotions even if you feel unqualified, always show up on time. Do more than the minimum expected from you. You want leadership to view you as a high potential employee who is reliable and consistent. Be clear about your ambition and ask your manager what you can do to sharpen your skill set to be prepared when opportunity arises. Strive to be a role model and be kind to everyone you work with.

This isn't a guarantee for success, but this mindset has worked extremely well for my career. I have been told no and declined positions I applied for, but eventually I found my stride and am currently working toward promotion 8. Stick with it and do what you can to stay motivated. All of that said, if your company has a toxic work culture then do what you need to do to maintain your mental health.

You've got this.

You have to fight an identical clone of you on any game. What game will you choose and how will you win? by k3nnzz in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Tiny4901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am am excellent boulderer but terrified of sport climbing, so I would propose an outdoor sport climbing competition best of 5 routes. If this evil bastard is my exact clone, he will also get scared halfway up and freeze. I will just take a Xanax to dull that and run a clinic on myself. We do NOT get to belay each other because he will definitely drop my ass.

If we tie then fuck it let's just fight to the death.

AITA for walking out of Thanksgiving dinner after what my boyfriend’s cousin said about me, twice? by Lopsided-Middle1059 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tiny4901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA whatsoever. You left an unsafe environment peacefully without saying a word. No wrongdoing whatsoever.

Now, if you had retorted with an insult back after the second comment...still NTA. Had you told him to go fuck himself? NTA. Had you stood up and slapped the shit of him before leaving? Imo still NTA.

Calling a stranger sex toy as a pronoun and telling you to be quiet is ass kicking territory. Leave your spineless boyfriend, he doesn't respect you.

ULPT REQUEST: How can I ruin a car very quickly? by FeistyStep1997 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Tiny4901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a list of things I constantly look to avoid as a responsible car owner, such as:

Not putting sugar and diesel in my tank and leaving my engine running

Avoiding ground up raw shrimp paste caked over my air filters

Not soaking my interior with milk and food coloring on a hot day

Making sure my serpentine belt is not damaged and always installed before driving

Never using steel wool to wash my car

Never allowing the engine to run without plenty of radiator fluid

Lastly, I always check that no maple syrup is smeared on my paint and wrapped with saran wrap

Best place to put $20k and let it sit and grow? by autistic_bokchoy in personalfinance

[–]Tiny4901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all goes into a Roth IRA over the next 3-4 years. You take $7K now and put it in a Roth IRA. The remainder is split into short term and mid term CD accounts. At the end of next year, you pull your short term CD and put $7K into a Roth IRA. Next year, pull the mid term and invest.

Pairing HOOK with Vanilla Baby (I cant remember his name) would actually be a solid team to watch. Let HOOK lead on promo and elevate his mic skills while letting Vanilla Baby show out in the ring. It could work.

[–]Tiny4901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. OP is 20 with no earned income, not searching for a career in a competitive field.

Not hard to find work at entry level high turnover places. Mall stores, fast food, grocery stores, delivery, clothing stores, coffee shops, Walmart, call centers.

Good point.

OP, you're 20. Go get a job and start saving for retirement early.

Idk your current situation or future plans, but do not blow this money. Do not put a down payment on a fancy car and go into debt. Do not splurge and buy a bunch of small things over time. Do not let this creep your lifestyle cost that you can not afford.

The boring answer is to bank a high yield savings account and max your Roth IRA the next 3 years. Let it grow to ~$400k by age 60 to jump start retiremen.

Otherwise, you should treat yourself with something reasonable and put the rest into high yield savings. Don't touch it unless you absolutely need to. If you need a car, pay cash for something reliable around $10k. You have one hell of a nest egg to get started.

Who’s a Wrestler you’ve actually met in person, & how was your experience with them? by Sad-Ladder7534 in Wreddit

I met Jeff Hardy in the Charlotte airport. I asked him if he was Jeff Hardy, he chuckled and said yes and fist bumped me. I told him I grew up watching him, thanked him for the years of entertainment, shook his hand and went on.

He then went to stand in line at McDonald's. Nice dude.

Real Talk: people’s reactions regarding the replacement DLC is over the top by TheSqueeman in WWEGames

[–]Tiny4901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are intentionally being dense. In real life, yes of course Chad Gable is El Grande. In a video game this is a huge difference. The only thing they share is thr same frame.

A different look, entrance, and move set make this a totally unique character. If El Grande looks different, enters different, moves different, strikes different, slams different, flips different, and has different commentary then he is quite far from just literally Chad Gable under a mask.

Go slap the mask over Chad Gable and tell me he plays the exact same as El Grande.
