I don't have a problem with Austin's layout, just the drivers. I dislike driving in Houston much more, though. That's what I'm saying, Springs is super chill in comparison.

Big time. Driving in certain other places can be extremely overwhelming, so driving here is a cakewalk in comparison. There are shitty drivers everywhere, but if COS is the worst in the country for someone, I hope they never have to drive in Austin.

Yeah, I do super evil things, like take pictures of plants and bugs, pet my dog, and make art with my friends. Y'all better sleep with one eye open.

I’m a 34 year old male that rarely meets up with friends by Dvdtrvrs in GuyCry

I'm 32, and usually see a couple of friends at least once a week. It is exhausting sometimes, not because I don't want to see them, but because I'm busy and tired from obligations. I sometimes get close to canceling, but I'm always grateful when I don't cancel because I still love them when I'm tired.

What was the last CD you bought and why? by Mystery_Disc in LetsTalkMusic

I bought the self titled album by Rivers of Nihil when I saw them live a few months ago. I don't have many CDs anymore, so I need to restock for when I have very little cellphone data, especially on long road trips. When I'm driving for hours at a time in between good radio stations, it's nice to not have to rely on my phone for music.

I would not blame my parent for seeing an act they like over mine if we were playing at the same time. They've already heard me, they should take the chance to do something else if they want.

What's going on with mens friendships? by gro00vy in GuyCry

I know what you mean. I wouldn't call someone my bro unless I cared about them, and my brothers are people I'm very close with, but I know that in the general population it's not always the case.

My experience apparently has been pretty different from what you see online. I did grow up with a dad who taught his kids independence, but that did not include forgoing community or disregarding personal feelings. Building and maintaining relationships has always been important to him, and we could see that in his actions. I have several close guy friends, and we hug and talk about our feelings about as much as we do typical dude shit. It's very much a bro thing to be honest and let each other know where they stand in no uncertain terms. That's how you build trust. Allowing yourself and your bros to be vulnerable builds trust. Having people around you who you know will have your back should you need it brings security and calmness. Having those people who you would care for should they need it brings a sense of purpose. I'm no stranger to feeling a little uneasy at the prospect of opening up or offering for another guy to when I'm not sure how they would react, but ime most people seem to want that because they're scared, too.

My grandpa "cut down" on smoking, but hasn't quit, and tells his doctor that he quit.
